Abra Kadabra came to Central City looking for some of Earth 1’s technology. Gypsy was not far behind him. In his first act on Earth 1 Abra Kadabra trapped and killed two security guards via drowning, in order to take some of the unused technology.

The Flash quickly caught up to Abra Kadabra after he broke into another tech facility and learned that Abra Kadabra is from the future. When Barry arrived Abra Kadabra knew exactly who he was and knew about the Savitar/Iris situation Barry is facing. Unfortunately Abra Kadabra was able to escape from Barry and Gypsy using a card trick.

Gypsy and Barry return to the lab and there she informs the team that Abra Kadabra uses Nanotechnology to perform his tricks. The team is then able to use their own technology to track Abra Kadabra or so they thought. Kadabra used a hologram to trick The Flash, Kid Flash, Vibe and Gypsy into leaving the lab. He then attacked STAR labs where Caitlin, Julian and Joe were. Luckily Barry was able to get to them in time and put him in handcuffs.

Abra Kadabra then tried to negotiate his release by offering up Savitar’s real name to Barry and the team. He also tells Barry that he does eventually beat Savitar but only after Iris dies. They place Abra Kadabra in a cell and Iris tells Barry that she does not want him to set a murderer free just to save her life. He agrees but Joe has other ideas. He lets Abra Kadabra go and just as he is about to get information on Savitar Gypsy appears and Kadabra takes off after he steals technology from Wells.

Kadabra then blows up a portion of STAR labs and Caitlin got impaled in the crossfire. Caitlin then stayed awake during her surgery to give Julian instructions on how to save her life. The surgery is successful thanks to Julian and a little help from Iris.

During Caitlin’s surgery Gypsy discovered why Abra Kadabra came to this Earth. He is building a time machine and needed Wells power source in order to get back to the future. Once again Vibe, Gypsy, Kid Flash and The Flash team up to capture Abra Kadabra. Barry snagged the villain by phasing through the time machine and taking Kadabra back through with him. Barry then tried to get Kadabra to tell him about Savitar but he refused. He told Barry that they are enemies in the future and have been for a long time. Gypsy then escorted the criminal and man who killed her former partner/lover, to his execution. As for Cisco and Gypsy’s romance… it seems these two won’t be able to work it out.

Unlike Cisco and Gypsy, Julian and Caitlin rekindled their romance after Caitlin’s successful surgery. They even sealed it with a kiss. Unfortunately it is short lived as Caitlin goes into shock and dies. However, Julian in a last attempt to keep his newfound love alive, ripped off Caitlin’s necklace (the only thing keeping her powers at bay) and her body began to regenerate. Killer Frost was then unleashed. The frosty villain fired ice at her friends and escaped from STAR labs.

At the end of the episode Barry decided that he must head back into the future and learn everything he can. That is the only way he can save Iris.

The latest episode of ‘The Originals’ had the Mikealson’s heading back to NOLA to save their dear brother Nik (Niklaus/Klaus) from Marcel. The legendary family headed back to their old stomping grounds after devouring an entire bus of prisoners, including the guards.

As they ventured back Marcel got word of the family being resurrected and we learned that venom from the 7 original wolf packs can cure Marcel’s bite. However, by the time Marcel found out the Mikealson’s were on their way it was already too late. The family was already in The French Quarter and paying Joshua, Marcel’s right hand man, a visit. Meanwhile, Rebekah paid her former lover, Marcel, a visit.

Marcel quickly caught on to the fact that she was being used to distract him from Klaus’s rescue mission. Rebekah just as quickly gave up the jig and flat out asked Marcel to let her brother go. He obviously refused to do so and she was forced to take action via a hex stake. Rebekah threatened Marcel with the dark artifact and was shot in the chest with arrows by Sofya, Marcel’s informant and potential love interest. It doesn’t look like these two will be rekindling their relationship anytime soon.

Locked away at the Mikealson estate Klaus was also paid a visit by Cami. Unfortunately for Cami fans she is only a figment of his imagination/subconscious and not back on the show permanently. She informed Klaus that his family was back to rescue him and that he needed to find a way out of his imprisonment before they get killed.

Klaus doesn’t want to escape because he is afraid that if he is involved in his daughter Hope’s life, she will turn into the monster that he has become. Cami reassures Klaus that Hope needs him and that he needs to face his fears, pull that knife out of his chest and escape. Shortly after Elijah, Hayley and Freya arrive and begin to work together to free Klaus. Freya channeled Hayley in order to break the boundary spell while Elijah and Marcel faced off.

Back at the bar where Kol was babysitting Josh, the two have a heart-to-heart about loss. Josh talks about losing Aiden in hopes that he can ease Kol’s pain about losing Davina. He told Kol that it does get better eventually. That bonding moment was cut short when Josh received a text from Marcel with the word Tuetoburg. It was a coded message for Josh to send out a warning/summoning message to Marcel’s other minions. Kol realized something was off, snapped Josh’s neck (thank god he is a vamp) and headed off to find Rebekah. He found Rebekah in the cemetery with arrows in her chest. Kol removed them and then the two battled with Marcel’s vampire groupies.

At the Mikealson estate Klaus finally mustered up the courage to pull the knife out of his chest and escape. He then used said knife and stabbed Marcel with it to allow everyone to escape. Klaus, Elijah, Freya and Hayley all reach the escape point where Kol and Rebekah are waiting for them. Unfortunately Marcel was right behind them. Klaus offered peace in exchange for their free passage and promised to never return to New Orleans. Marcel offers them mercy and lets them go, telling them that if they ever return they will be killed.

The family then returned to the home where Hayley and Hope have been living for the past five years and Klaus finally got to see his daughter. He watched her sleep.

Star City 2017

Amaya and Sarah are evil and working for Damien Darhk who is now also the mayor of Star City. Darhk has been keeping himself busy killing all the vigilantes not only in Star City but in Central City as well, as we saw from his collection of masks that included The Flash, Green Arrow and Black Canary. Unfortunately for Felicity Smoak her mask, as she is a vigilante in this world, was added to the collection after she was captured and killed by Sarah and Amaya.

Central City 2017

Over in Central City Thawne reigns supreme. He figured out cold fusion, saved the environment and the world, has Black Flash locked in a chamber and runs STAR Labs. Merlin paid Thawne a visit and we learn that Merlin not only has his hand back but also his family (his wife and son Tommy) and love and devotion from his daughter Thea Queen.

Thawne has also set up Doomworld to hold The Legends prisoner. Jax and Martin work at the lab for Thawne and Ray is a custodian there. Rip is trapped in the Waverider (which is on display on Thawne’s desk) where he makes cakes. Mick is the only Legend who truly knows what is going on here and boy is he living the high-life with Snart; they are able to steal and rob banks without any interference from the law, which kind of takes away all the fun for Mick.

In Doomworld Nate is a conspiracy theorist who lives in his mom’s basement. He also pays Thawne a visit and tells him something is off with this world. This would have gotten him killed if it wasn’t for Mick. After saving Nate, Mick owns up to his mistake and takes Nate back to Star City to find Ray.

Star City 2017

Ray’s subconscious also knew something was off and he built a trans-reality multiplexer to restore memories and undo the Doomworld reality. Mick uses the multiplexer gun and shoots Nate in the head with it. Nate regains his memories and punches Mick in the face for betraying the team. He does the same thing to Ray and also gets punched in the face.

On the other side of town Captain Cold (Leonard Snart) informed Darhk and Merlin about Mick going rogue and attempting to restore The Legends. Darhk sends Amaya and Sarah to find and kill them. They are quickly able to locate them due to a GPS device Cold planted on Mick. They all battle and that is when Nate, along with the other Legends, discover that they have no powers in Doomworld.

Luckily Mick was able to shoot Sarah with the multiplexer and she regained her memories. Once again Mick received a punch to the face for his betrayal. Unfortunately Amaya escaped. Sarah was then forced to go undercover to rescue Amaya. Her cover was quickly blown after Darhk taunted her with the thrill of killing The Black Canary (her sister Laurel). Darhk, who has his powers back in Doomworld, holds Sarah in place for Amaya to kill her. However, Sarah was able to shoot her with the multiplexer before Amaya could kill her.

The two Legends then shoot at Cold, Merlin and Darhk but they manage to escape. After eating some of Nate’s mom’s sandwiches, which are apparently DA BOMB, The Legends rescue Jax and learn that Thawne is planning to destroy the spear and make Doomworld permanent.

Central City 2017

Mick teams up with Cold, Merlin and Darhk to take back the spear, after being abandoned by The Legends.

Martin gets the device to destroy the spear up and running for Thawne and when Jax tries to restore his memories, he breaks the gun. Moments later Thawne arrived with the spear and the real battle began. Mick blasted the spear out of Thawne’s hand and in turn was knocked out by Cold. Nate then grabbed the spear and sent Thawne flying with it to which he almost high-fived Darhk.

A game of spear hot potato ensued and it eventually ended with Mick having the spear in his possession. Once again he had to make a choice and this time he made the right one. He tossed the spear to Amaya and told her to undo everything that has been done; Mick finally realized he is only Cold’s attack dog and no longer wanted to be treated that way.

Unfortunately for Amaya this made her an immediate target for Cold’s wrath. Cold froze and shatter Amaya into little pieces. Mick raised his gun at Cold but couldn’t bring himself to shoot him so he just walked away. This allowed Thawne the opportunity to grab the spear and destroy it. Sarah then suggested The Legion and The Legends team up to kill Thawne (which would have been awesome to see) but Thawne suggests otherwise; he tells them how easily he can kill them all. Thawne allows The Legion and Legends to leave.

Sarah then comes up with the idea to head back to 1916 France and stop The Legion from getting the spear in the first place.

At the end of the episode Rip was finally able to send out his distress signal to the team.

The latest installment of ‘The Flash’ had Barry and Kara aka Supergirl teaming up to escape from their musical dream-like state. “Duet” was chock full of special appearances from John Barrowman (Malcolm Merlin), Victor Garber (Martin Stein), and Jeremy Jordan (Winn Schott). It also featured Chris Wood (Mon-El), David Harewood (Hank Henshaw/Martin Manhunter), Darren Criss (Music Meister) and Michelle Harrison (Nora Allen), along with series regulars performing songs as well.

The episode kicked off with a young Barry watching Singin’ in the Rain with his mother Nora and then transitioned into Barry watching the same movie at Cisco’s place. They then got an alert to return STAR Labs where they were greeted an unconscious Kara, Mon-El and Hank Henshaw who entered through a breach. Barry was then greeted by Music Meister and put in a coma along with Kara.

When he wakes up he is inside a musical watching Kara sing. The two are trapped in a world within their own minds. In this world they were singers in a club run by Malcolm Merlin who is called Cutter in this world. The two are then greeted by Cisco (Pablo in this universe) and Winn (Grady in this universe). Meister then reappeared to let the two know that they have no powers and that the only way they can escape is to stick to the musical’s script.

Kara and Barry are then kidnapped by a gangster Martin Stein who brings the two back to Joe who is also a gangster and Martin’s partner. The two ask for Barry and Kara’s help in finding their daughter Milly aka Iris who was last seen at the club that Barry and Kara sing at. The duo find Milly/Iris and discover her with Tommy aka Mon-El. They are star-crossed lovers from two rival gangs in this musical.

Back in Central City Caitlin discovered that the Meister was draining Barry and Kara’s powers and stealing them for himself. This caused Martin Manhunter aka Henshaw, Kid Flash and Vibe to team up and take down Music Meister. Cisco created an airstrike using Henshaw and a breach and Wally took care of the ground strike. They then brought the unconscious Meister back to STAR Labs and put him in a cell.

While this was going on Barry and Kara finally convinced Tommy and Milly to tell their parents about their relationship. Seeing Tommy and Milly together made Barry and Kara realize the mistakes they made with their loves back in reality (Iris and Mon-El).  Unfortunately Tommy and Milly’s happiness didn’t last long as their parent’s still chose to go to war despite their children being in love. There was a brief break in the drama where Kara and Barry sang Super Friend and tap danced while making fun of Superman. All seemed well until the bullets started flying. Both Kara and Barry were shot in the cross fire and as the Meister said if you die in here you die out there.

Luckily for our two supes Cisco was able to vibe Mon-El and Iris into the musical and they saved their loves with a kiss. Everyone then returned to the real world and Meister congratulated them after he easily broke out of his cell. He then tells Barry and Kara the reason he did what he did was to teach them a lesson; he believes in the good guys and wanted to teach them a lesson about letting themselves be saved every once in a while. Mon-El and Kara then get back together and return home along with Henshaw.

Iris and Barry then return to their apartment where Barry serenaded Iris with Runnin’ Home to You. He then re-proposed and she said yes!

The Legends were finally able to locate Commander Steel in the latest installment of ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’. The episode kicked off in Manhattan, NY 1965 where Rip left Commander Steel and the last remaining fragment of the spear of destiny. Henry Heywood (Commander Steel/Nate’s Grandpa) had to leave his wife and son behind in order to complete this mission and save the fate of the world. The remainder of the episode took place in 1970 at NASA Headquarters and in space.

1970 NASA Headquarters

The Legends locate Commander Steel and aren’t greeted with the warmest welcome. Especially Rip who took a left hook to the face. However, the Commander settled down once Amaya informed him of the death of Dr. Midnight and her visit with Stargirl. Commander Steel then informs the team that he hid the fragment in the flag pole Neil Armstrong left on the moon.

Unfortunately for The Legends, Eobart Thawne was already in route to the flag pole as he infiltrated the Apollo 13 mission. Thawne knocked out his fellow astronauts in order to change course and make his way to the flag pole. This forced Martin, Jax and Mick to go undercover as British flight pilots while the rest of the team and Commander Steel headed into space to take back Apollo 13 and stop Thawne.

1970 SPACE

On the Waverider Nate got Henry to open up about his disdain toward Rip. He was angry that Rip forced him to leave his family while Rip got to keep his. Nate informed his grandfather that Rip’s family was in fact killed. Commander Steel then gets the idea to head back to his time period and reunite with his family after the spear fragment is located, therefore making his mission complete. Nate encouraged the idea even though he knew it could alter the timeline and create an aberration.

Sarah then sent Ray (as The Atom) on to Apollo 13 to stop Thawne. Ray has no stealth and was immediately spotted by Thawne and the two fight. Luckily for Ray Thawne didn’t have superspeed as there was no gravity. During their tussle Ray hit a button that dislodged the limb from the command module and forced Ray to crash land on the moon.

1970 NASA Headquarters

Back at headquarters Martin and Mick were tasked with creating a distraction so that Jax could disconnect the mission feed to Apollo 13. Martin took the opportunity to grace us with his rendition of Day O (The Banana Boat Song) by Harry Belafonte. It worked and added some great comic-relief for the episode.

1970 SPACE

Ray retrieved the fragment after trotting on the moon and was informed by Sarah that they don’t have the power to pick him up. He needed to get the limb moving in order for the team to intercept them with the command module. Unfortunately for Ray this wasn’t a one man job and he was forced to team up with Thawne in order to get back home. Thawne then opened up to his fellow scientist and told Ray that he wants the spear in order to live.

While those two were figuring out how to work together, Amaya informed Commander Steel about the consequences of returning to his timeline and basically threw Nate under the bus for not fully informing his grandfather of those consequences. In retaliation Nate tells Amaya about her future and her granddaughter.

Shortly after this conversation Ray and Thawne are reconnected with the command module and make their way to the Waverider. However, The Legends would once again need Thawne’s help. He told the team that they need to reenter the atmosphere at 38 degrees in order to successfully get back home. Unfortunately Commander Steel had to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to get the Waverider at that angle. The Commander had to open the cargo bay and once it was opened it he was sucked into the atmosphere.

1970 NASA Headquarters

The Legends and Apollo 13 return to Earth safely. Thawne phased through the brig he was being held captive in and made a quick escape before Black Flash could find him.

Timeship Inside the Vortex

The Legends then all jump aboard the timeship and Rip told Sarah that she is a much better captain then he ever was. Poor Rip is still trying to find his place on the Waverider now that he is no longer captain.

Amaya then asked Gideon to show her future to her. She learns of the future of her village and gots to see what her granddaughter looks like.

NEXT WEEK

The crew runs into Captain Cold and heads back to World War I.

The season 4 premiere of ‘The Originals’ jumped ahead in time. This season will be taking place 5 years after the fall of the Mikealson’s. After the original family fell from power Marcel took back his city and has resumed his title as King of New Orleans.

Marcel and his vampires co-exist with Vincent and his witch coven. There is peace among the quarter until a group of out of town vampires lead by Alistair Duquesne. Alistair wants to personally see Klaus is suffering and wants to make sure the rest of his family is actually dead.

Luckily for the Mikealson’s they still have a living ally in Hayley. Hayley is in the process of waking up the Mikealson’s in hopes of reuniting the family for her daughter Hope. She only needs one more ingredient; wolf venom from the 7^th original wolf pack. Jack’s mom Mary brings news that there is only one member left of that pack. Hayley takes off with the Mikealson’s bodies in a truck in order to find this last remaining wolf. Mary stays behind to watch Hope.

Hayley finds this lone wolf in Austin, Texas. Her name is Keelin and Hayley wasn’t the only one hunting her. A pack of vampires also wanted to get their hands on the wolf in order to prevent Hayley from raising the dead. Hayley used Keelin’s venom along with the venom of the other 6 wolf packs to wake Freya. Freya then began working on waking up Elijah, Kol and Rebekah while Hayley fought of the vampire pack.

The only member of the Mikealson family that is awake is Klaus. After Alistair challenges Marcel, Marcel was forced to reach out to Klaus for help in regaining control of the quarter. Marcel then let’s Klaus know that he knows his siblings lives are tethered to his. He also informs Klaus about Alistair’s threat to kill Klaus’s daughter Hope. This forced Klaus to team up with Marcel.

Alistair gets his wish and sees Klaus chained up and beaten down. Marcel then gifts Alistair with a sword that is dipped in Marcel’s deadly venom; a venom that would slowly kill Klaus. He then gives Alistair permission to kill the eldest Mikealson. Alistair being the show boat that he is leans in and tells Klaus that he will stop at nothing to kill Klaus’s daughter. Klaus then used that moment to bite Alistair and stabs the rest of his crew with the sword.

Marcel then regains control of the original vampire and is able to regain control of the vampires in the French quarter. He informs his followers that he keeps Klaus around to have a cure for werewolf bites. Marcel is able to show his strength by teaming up with Klaus.

Elijah, Kol and Rebekah are finally awaken by Freya. Elijah reunites with Hayley and they kiss. Hayley and the rest of the Mikealson’s pack up and head to New Orleans to go rescue Klaus.

Hope on the other hand is in more danger than anyone knows. She is drawing the same circle symbols that are showing up all over the French quarter. Is she the one creating the symbols or is someone coming for her? What is she capable of? What sort of powers does she have?

Well the time has finally come. We had to say farewell TVD. 171 episodes, 8 seasons and it all came down to this. From the books of L.J. Smith came the TV show that rocked our worlds, took us on a wild roller coaster and changed our lives. The stock of Kleenex has to be through the roof after this epic finale full of magic, love, reunions, loss and the ultimate sacrifice. The cast and crew did a tremendous job giving fans the thank you and closure that we all had hoped for.

The final episode of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ kicked off with Bonnie momentarily dying due to magic overload. She spent a brief time in the afterlife where she was greeted by Elena. Once Elena realized Bonnie had died she immediately wanted her to go back to living. “You’re supposed to be old”. Bonnie reassured Elena that she was ready to die. She desperately wanted to be with Enzo.

Enzo then arrived and told Bonnie it wasn’t her time to die and forced her back into the land of the living where she was greeted by Caroline and Stefan. Her best friend Damon was busy killing Vicki in hopes of stopping her from ringing the bell. After killing her twice he tells Matt that he must convince her to stop ringing the bell. Unfortunately Matt was unsuccessful and initiated a town evacuation.

Damon and Stefan then returned to the Salvatore mansion where they were greeted by Katherine pretending to be Elena. Her short rouse didn’t last long. The Queen of Hell informed the Salvatore brothers that she had taken Elena’s body. Where? “That’s for me to know and for you to dot, dot, dot.” Stealing a line right out of Damon’s playbook.

Turns out Kitty-Kat had Cade wrapped around her finger the whole time. Everything that happened to them was a part of her giant scheme. The race to find Elena before the town was set ablaze was on. Thankfully Caroline stayed behind to help Stefan even though Alaric, the girls and Bonnie made an escape to the armory. Stefan eventually sent Caroline away and then found Elena in the boiler room of Mystic Falls high school.

Unfortunately she was trapped in the school thanks to a spell cast from Kai. His final parting gift. With Bonnie too far away to help, it seemed like Damon and Elena were fated to die together along with the town of Mystic Falls. At the armory Bonnie figured out a way to save Mystic Falls, Elena and one of the Salvatore brothers. She sent Ric, the girls and Caroline away just in case her plan didn’t work out. Bonnie drew the flames of the hellfire through the tunnels of the armory in the most epic fashion thanks to her ancestors.

Making sure Katherine died and stayed that way, Damon compelled Stefan (or so we thought) to leave the tunnels and he would stay behind to stab Katherine with the bone dagger and die along with her. Unfortunately for Damon, Stefan had been dosing vervain and returned to take his brother’s place after he took his own blood and injected it into Damon. Thus, giving him the cure and making him human. Stefan was going to die quickly after removing the cure from his body anyway and wanted to be sure that his brother got to the live the human life he deserved. The life that he took away from him so long ago.

Before Stefan went to the afterlife Caroline called him and said she understood his decision and that she would love him forever. Cue the water works that didn’t stop until the very end. Stefan also made a quick stop to visit Elena before departing from this world for good.

He tells Elena that Damon is the better man and then whispers something else in her ear. Stefan then opened the doors and descended into the afterlife where he was greeted by his red car and his best friend Lexi.

Bonnie, the true hero of this episode, not only stopped the town from burning down but also figured out how to break the sleeping curse and Elena finally woke up. Elena reunited with Damon and Caroline at Stefan’s grave. Elena then told Caroline that Stefan got her message and that he will love her forever too. The group then left trinkets on Stefan’s grave; Damon leaving his daylight ring.

We then jumped into the distant future and learned how everyone’s lives played out:

• Matt is still sheriff and is considering running for mayor.
• Vicki found Tyler in the afterlife

• Bonnie traveled the world
• Caroline and Ric opened their school for gifted children at the Salvatore Mansion that was donated to them by Damon
• Caroline also received a generous 3 million dollar donation from Klaus and a letter that read:

“Dear Caroline, I have often imagined the paths your life might take, but your chosen future is more noble than I ever fathomed. Please accept this contribution to your virtuous cause. I do look forward to thanking you in person, someday. However long it takes. Yours, Klaus.”

Does this mean we will be seeing Caroline in NOLA?

• Jeremy became a teacher at the Salvatore Boarding School
• Jodi found peace
• Liz found peace
• Elena became a doctor
• Damon rebuilt the Gilbert house for her
• Damon and Elena got married (showed by the engagement and wedding band on her finger)
• Stefan achieved piece

The final moments of the series finale showed Elena and Damon’s afterlife as well. Elena was reunited with her mother, father, Aunt Jenna and Uncle John while Damon was reunited with Stefan who was patiently waiting at the Salvatore Mansion. We once again heard the first line Damon ever uttered to Stefan in the pilot; “Hello Brother”.  After a long life each of our beloved characters were reunited with each other once again. They got their promise of peace.

Farewell TVD. The finale most definitely was epic, beautiful and satisfying.
