The Legends were finally able to locate Commander Steel in the latest installment of ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’. The episode kicked off in Manhattan, NY 1965 where Rip left Commander Steel and the last remaining fragment of the spear of destiny. Henry Heywood (Commander Steel/Nate’s Grandpa) had to leave his wife and son behind in order to complete this mission and save the fate of the world. The remainder of the episode took place in 1970 at NASA Headquarters and in space.

1970 NASA Headquarters

The Legends locate Commander Steel and aren’t greeted with the warmest welcome. Especially Rip who took a left hook to the face. However, the Commander settled down once Amaya informed him of the death of Dr. Midnight and her visit with Stargirl. Commander Steel then informs the team that he hid the fragment in the flag pole Neil Armstrong left on the moon.

Unfortunately for The Legends, Eobart Thawne was already in route to the flag pole as he infiltrated the Apollo 13 mission. Thawne knocked out his fellow astronauts in order to change course and make his way to the flag pole. This forced Martin, Jax and Mick to go undercover as British flight pilots while the rest of the team and Commander Steel headed into space to take back Apollo 13 and stop Thawne.

1970 SPACE

On the Waverider Nate got Henry to open up about his disdain toward Rip. He was angry that Rip forced him to leave his family while Rip got to keep his. Nate informed his grandfather that Rip’s family was in fact killed. Commander Steel then gets the idea to head back to his time period and reunite with his family after the spear fragment is located, therefore making his mission complete. Nate encouraged the idea even though he knew it could alter the timeline and create an aberration.

Sarah then sent Ray (as The Atom) on to Apollo 13 to stop Thawne. Ray has no stealth and was immediately spotted by Thawne and the two fight. Luckily for Ray Thawne didn’t have superspeed as there was no gravity. During their tussle Ray hit a button that dislodged the limb from the command module and forced Ray to crash land on the moon.

Back at headquarters Martin and Mick were tasked with creating a distraction so that Jax could disconnect the mission feed to Apollo 13. Martin took the opportunity to grace us with his rendition of Day O (The Banana Boat Song) by Harry Belafonte. It worked and added some great comic-relief for the episode.

1970 SPACE

Ray retrieved the fragment after trotting on the moon and was informed by Sarah that they don’t have the power to pick him up. He needed to get the limb moving in order for the team to intercept them with the command module. Unfortunately for Ray this wasn’t a one man job and he was forced to team up with Thawne in order to get back home. Thawne then opened up to his fellow scientist and told Ray that he wants the spear in order to live.

While those two were figuring out how to work together, Amaya informed Commander Steel about the consequences of returning to his timeline and basically threw Nate under the bus for not fully informing his grandfather of those consequences. In retaliation Nate tells Amaya about her future and her granddaughter.

Shortly after this conversation Ray and Thawne are reconnected with the command module and make their way to the Waverider. However, The Legends would once again need Thawne’s help. He told the team that they need to reenter the atmosphere at 38 degrees in order to successfully get back home. Unfortunately Commander Steel had to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to get the Waverider at that angle. The Commander had to open the cargo bay and once it was opened it he was sucked into the atmosphere.

The Legends and Apollo 13 return to Earth safely. Thawne phased through the brig he was being held captive in and made a quick escape before Black Flash could find him.

Timeship Inside the Vortex

The Legends then all jump aboard the timeship and Rip told Sarah that she is a much better captain then he ever was. Poor Rip is still trying to find his place on the Waverider now that he is no longer captain.

Amaya then asked Gideon to show her future to her. She learns of the future of her village and gots to see what her granddaughter looks like.

NEXT WEEK

The crew runs into Captain Cold and heads back to World War I.

On the latest episode of ‘The Flash’ Barry headed back into the speedforce alone in hopes of saving Wally. Cisco and the team created an anchor and bio tracker in order to monitor Barry while he was in the speedforce but the anchor didn’t last long. Shortly after Cisco opened the breech and allowed Barry to enter the speedforce, Barry ran into Eddie Thawne.

The speedforce was using Eddie and other versions of Barry’s past and present friends in order to teach him a lesson. The first was that they let Barry create Flashpoint and now he has to deal with the consequences. This is also why they will not allow Barry to take Wally out of the speedforce. They feel Wally made the choice to become Kid Flash and must therefore deal with the consequences of that choice.

Barry of course was having none of that and had to escape a Time Wraith in order to get to the prison where Wally was being held. As he made his way to Wally Barry ran into Caitlin with a baby. Moments later he was greeted by Ronnie. Another ploy to show Barry how his choices effect those around him. Barry still refused to give up on Wally and had to face off with Black Flash in order to get to Wally. Unfortunately the only way Barry could defeat Black Flash was to use his anchor as a weapon and eliminate him.

After making it through round 2 of obstacles Barry finally reached Wally. Unfortunately before he could get to him he was met by none other than Captain Cold. Putting another person who sacrificed themselves for or because of Barry, in Barry’s path once again. Captain Cold informed Barry that Wally is reliving his mother’s death over and over again. All Barry wanted to do was trade places with Wally so he gives up fighting. The speedforce was having none of that and had Captain Cold almost kill Barry in hopes of getting him to get up and fight. Luckily Cisco called Jay Garrick (Earth 3 Flash) in for back up and he saves Barry before he can be eliminated.

Barry then returns the favor when Captain Cold attempts to kill Jay for interfering. Barry then rescues Wally and Jay stayed behind in Wally’s place. Jay tells Barry that he is the only one that can defeat Savitar. Barry then promised to get Jay out when he did so. Wally and Barry then return home with the help of Jay’s helmet and learn of Jessie’s run in with Savitar.

Jessie and the team figured out that Savitar’s blade could be used to track his exact location. Jessie then decided to face Savitar on her own and with the help of HR discovered that Savitar is not in fact a god but a man. He is vulnerable under his armor. Savitar also informed Jessie that he has plans for her in the future. This frightened Jessie enough to make her head to Earth 3 in order to avoid her fate and fill in for Jay while he is trapped in the speedforce.

At the close of the episode it seemed like Iris and Barry where going to resolve their issues. However, this was not the case. Barry even asked Iris for some space and went to go stay with Cisco for a while. Will this be the end of their romance?

Tuesday’s (January 24^th) episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow finally revealed what happened to Rip Hunter and introduced us to a young George Lucas.

Back in N.Y. when the Waverider was on the verge of exploding, Rip grabbed a piece of wood from the floor board (The Holy Lance/Spear of Destiny) and then used the timedrive on himself in order to reset the timeline and consequentially rearrange his own reality. The spear he left with has the power to rewrite reality permanently. Hence why Darhk, Merlin and Thawne are after it.

Fast forward, well technically reverse back to L.A. 1967 and Rip Hunter is a hot-shot AMERICAN student director named Phil who has George Lucas as his prop master for a film based on Rip Hunter’s life. Rip’s repressed memories are the backbone of the screenplay Phil has written.

The languid medallion that Merlin and Darhk have in their possession is a compass to spear of destiny. The team finds Rip in L.A. but unfortunately for them he doesn’t remember them at all. Rip and George are then attacked by Merlin and Darhk. The Legends are able to save them but can’t prevent Rip/Phil from being arrested.

Therefore, Martin, Sarah and Mick are forced to break him out of jail. This is after Martin takes a break from being Mick’s shrink; Mick divulged to Martin that he has been seeing Snart for some time now, hoping the professor might be able to help him get his brain back. The Legends are able to break Rip out but Merlin and tow aren’t that far behind them. Luckily Ray drives the Waverider to their location and picks them up. This of course causes Rip to pass out as he thought he was making everything up.

Once back on the ship Ray and Nate start to have side effects of an aberration. Turns out good old George Lucas is the aberration. After the attack George dropped out of film school and thus altered the career paths of Nate and Ray. The two with the help of Amaya go get George and convince him to go back to school.

Back on the ship we learn that Mick had an antenna of sorts placed in his skull when he was Chronos. That antenna gathered up black matter that Snart merged with when he blew up. It turns out the antenna was never on and Mick has been seeing Snart because he is questioning his morals. On the other side of the timeship Jax and Sarah learn that Rip gave the spear of destiny to George Lucas, his prop master for the movie.

Of course, Merlin and Darhk have already figured this out and have placed George, Amaya, Nate and Ray inside a garbage compactor where George dumped the spear. The compactor is turned on and The Legends tell George that he has to believe he will make inspiring movies one day in order for Nate and Ray to get their powers back. George screams “I want to be a director!” and Nate/Ray get their powers back. Thus they are able to escape.

When the team is outmanned Phil decides to take on the role of Rip Hunter and fire a gun at Merlin/Darhk. Unfortunately for him it doesn’t work but luckily Gideon does and she fires everything she has at them. The last remaining member or The Legion of Doom musketeers arrives in time to snag Rip before the team can get him back on the Waverider.

Sarah was able to grab the medallion and the fragment of the spear before Thawne captured Rip.

The mid-season finale of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow took us all the way back to 1927 Chicago and introduced us to Al Capone.

1927 Chicago

Damien Darhk and Eobart Thawne (Reverse Flash) set up a meeting with Al Capone. After thwarting Capone’s goons they introduce him to a third member of their crew; Malcom Merlin. The three promise Capone they can find a way to keep his empire afloat and make him even more powerful they he could ever imagine.

Timeship (Inside the Vortex)

Nate and Ray continue their sibling rivalry and breaking things until Sarah, taking on the role of their mother, makes them stop before they do some serious damage to the time ship…again. Shortly after The Legends are informed of an aberration in 1927 Chicago and embark on their next adventure.

1927 Chicago

The Legends learn that Darhk and Thawne are working with Capone. They also learn that Capone is going after Elliot Ness (the man who helps take Capone down). Two police officers nab Ness and take him to a pier where they attach cinder blocks to his ankles and dump him in the river. Vixen uses her amulet to channel dolphin powers and is able to save Ness from death. They bring him back to the ship and later on learn that he was a diversion in a much larger scheme set up by Darhk and crew.

Timeship 1927 Chicago

Gideon begins patching up Ness but informs the team that he needs to stay in the med-bay longer than usual as he has brain damage. Therefore, Nate has to impersonate Ness while Sarah, Martin and Jax go undercover at the club associated with Capone.

Vixen stays behind to babysit Mick who is seeing visions of Leonard Snart; Snart wants to set him straight.

1927 Chicago

The team’s cover is blown when Thawne enters the club and quickly grabs Martin and Sarah. They are brought back to a basement of some sorts and Merlin pays the two a visit. Merlin informs Sarah that he arranged for the Gambit (the boat she and Oliver Queen were on) to be blown up and was the reason they got stranded on the island. He then offers Sarah a deal; the amulet for a rewrite of history. Sarah turns him down.

Martin then comes clean to Sarah about his daughter Lily. Sarah tells Martin that she isn’t real and that they need to fix the aberration. Their conversation is then interrupted by Damien Darhk. He has his men grab Martin and bring him to Thawne.

Timeship 1927 Chicago

Back on the timeship Mick takes charge and tells the team they are going to do things his way. They are going to have to become criminals in order to save Sarah and Martin.

1927 Chicago

Vixen and Mick take a play out of Bonnie and Clyde’s book and steal one of Capone’s trucks.

Thawne stabs Martin with some sort of device as Vixen rescues Sarah. Mick sees Snart again as he is searching for Martin. Snart tells Mick to get out of the game before he is killed.

Nate and Ray find the ledger and meet up with the rest of the team after they find Martin. Capone has his men fire at The Legends but ultimately lets them go.

Timeship 1927 Chicago

Mick sees Snart for a third time. He tells Mick that the self-sacrifice thing isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

While Mick tries to rid his brain of his Snart hallucination, Jax sees that Thawne has impersonated Martin and is ransacking the library for the amulet. Sarah heads into the library and is attacked by Thawne. He escapes after Nate steps in to help Sarah and races down the hallway. Jax shoots him with the speedster weapon only debilitating him for a few seconds.

Thawne then locks the crew in the bay and allows Merlin and crew to enter the Waverider. They ransack the ship and fire at anyone who gets in their way.

Mick and Vixen find a way to get the bay open and team up to catch Thawne as Sarah and Merlin face off. Thawne almost kills Vixen but Mick saves her.

Sarah has a knife to the throat of Merlin and makes a deal with him; she gives him the amulet in exchange for Martin’s location.

1927 Chicago

Martin is at the pier about to get whacked when Sarah comes to his rescue. While Sarah is busy untying Martin, Nate and Ray return Ness to his time. They hand Ness the ledger, tell him that this will help him catch Capone and head back to the timeship.

Timeship 1927 Chicago

Vixen gives Mick booze and a kiss on the cheek as thanks for saving her life.

Sarah decides to not force Martin into giving up Lily. She wants to protect her family (The Legends) and by protecting them she has to protect Lily as she is Martin’s family.

1927 Chicago

Thawne puts the amulet together (it was in two pieces) and reveals it to be a compass. The compass that will lead them to the spear of destiny, a weapon that can be used to rewrite reality but first they need Rip Hunter.

1967 Los Angeles

Rip Hunter is no longer British and is now a big time director. It looks like he is directing a movie about time masters. Where has he been all this time?

The final installment of DC’s 4 night epic crossover event concluded with last night’s episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Still located in Central City The Legends team up with the rest of the crossover team to eliminate The Dominators.

Central City 2016

After escaping the mothership and their abductors the team decides they want to commit an abduction of their own. Mick, Amaya, Nate, Felicity and Cisco head back in time to 1951 to kidnap a Dominator. Back at the base aka the Star Labs hanger, Oliver wants Kara to sit out or minimize her involvement in order to regain a sense of normalcy. He can’t handle all the aliens, even if a good one is on his side.

While Oliver continues to piss off Kara, Caitlin and Martin work on a plan to figure out how to defeat The Dominators back at Star Labs. Without Ray they aren’t doing too well. Luckily Martin’s daughter Lily helps them out as she has a PhD in Nanophysiology.

Timeship Central City 2016

On the timeship Cisco and Felicity geek out and start asking Nate all these techy questions that he can’t answer. They also throw in a Grease reference. “This ship is automatic. Systematic. Hydromatic.”

Redmond, Oregon 1951

The team lands in 1951 Redmond, Oregon moments later and Felicity experiences all the side effects of time travel. Therefore Felicity and Cisco are forced to stay on the timeship but not before Nate throws in a Princess Bride reference.

In the field Nate finally brings out his star spangled supersuit. Mick is not a fan but then again he really doesn’t like anything. While Mick, Amaya and Nate wait for a weak alien in the group, Cisco and Felicity have a mini therapy session. She tries to get him to see Barry’s point of view and understand that Dante’s death wasn’t his fault. It doesn’t work.

Cisco doesn’t have to dwell on it for long as Mick, Amaya and Nate spot a stray Dominator and make a move. They torch and beat it up a bit in order to grab it. Unfortunately they were not the only one’s looking to capture a Dominator. The group encounters a special government agent squad lead by Agent Smith and they are tranquilized and taken. Cisco and Felicity jump into action to rescue them.

Inside the cell Amaya and Nate realize the tranquilizer they were shot with is affecting their powers. They also learn of their cellmate; The Dominator they tried to capture earlier. They attempt to communicate with it.

Star Labs Central City 2016

Back at Star Labs Martin’s daughter (Lily) notices her father seems off. He is acting distant and treating her like a stranger, which to him she is. However, Martin doesn’t plan on dealing with this adversity for too long. He plans on restoring the timeline and in doing so will erase Lily from existence.

On the other side of town The White Canary (Sarah), The Green Arrow (Oliver), The Flash (Barry) and The Atom (Ray) are waiting for the president but are greeted by Agent Smith. The same Agent Smith, now much older, who kidnapped Amaya, Mick, Nate and The Dominator back in 1951. Smith informs the team that The Dominators dislike metas because they perceive them as a threat. Instead of accepting the team’s help, Smith and his special agents engage in a battle with the team.

Redmond, Oregon 1951

The other half of the team learns The Dominators are here to determine if the metahumans (at that period of time the JSA) are a threat. They are then rescued by the nerds (Cisco and Felicity) and set The Dominator that they captured free. Turns out the Waverider has a Dominator ship and they use that ship to send the Dominator back to its mothership. Not before Cisco snagged a transponder from the ship though.

Amaya, Mick, Nate, Felicity and Cisco strap in and return home to Central City 2016.

Central City 2016

At the hanger Agent Smith lets Barry know he knows everything about him and how he altered the timeline. The Dominators are back because of Barry. He unknowingly broke the truce by changing the timeline and creating flashpoint. However Agent Smith lets Barry know of the deal he made with the alien invaders. If Barry surrenders himself to The Dominators they will leave in peace.

The other half of the team returns to the hanger and gets a phone call from The Dominator they saved. He tells them he will spare their lives but if Barry doesn’t turn himself in The Dominators will unleash a weapon that will destroy all metahumans.

After getting this news Dominator ships begin to land all over the world. Cisco tries to call The Dominator back but he doesn’t answer. Hoping to get in contact with The Dominator he spoke to earlier Cisco vibes into the mothership with Nate.

They find him and learn the reason why The Dominators are threatened by Metahumans. They are afraid if bad people get powers they will use them to harm others and destroy the planet. The Dominators have seen it happen before and refuse to let history repeat itself. Speaking of history. Turns out Nate, Amaya, Cisco, Mick and Felicity altered the timeline when they saved The Dominator back in 1951. Cisco is finally able to understand Barry’s side of the story and the regret he feels.

Star Labs Central City 2016

Martin reconciles with Lily and she is able to figure out how to get the Nano-device to work. Is he having a change of heart? Will he still erase her from existence and restore the timeline or choose to save his daughter?

Central City 2016

As usual Barry wants to be a martyr and prepares to turn himself over. No ifs, ands or buts about it. Except for the fact that Oliver and the rest of the team won’t let him leave. Even Cisco wants him to stay. He calls Barry his friend again.

Ships all over the world and in Central City begin opening up. The team quickly discovers that it was a guise used to distract them from the real threat pummeling toward the Earth; The Dominators metabomb.

Martin arrives in time to give Barry the Nano-device crafted by Lily. Team crossover takes on The Dominators to distract them while Barry plants Martin and Lily’s weapon on all them. Amidst the battle Oliver is thrown off a building by the invaders but is saved by Supergirl.

In the air Sarah and Cisco use the Waverider to try and grab the metabomb. They recruit Firestorm to help them. Firestorm has to transmute the device into something harmless.

Supergirl and The Flash go across the globe planting devices on the remaining Dominators. Felicity uses the device to hurt The Dominators allowing Firestorm to successfully transmute the device causing The Dominators to retreat around the world.

Team crossover celebrates their victory and Ray slips in a nod to his Man of Steel days when he says Kara looks like his cousin.

Speaking of Kara. Oliver apologies to her and results in a Barry-Kara-Oliver (an unwilling participant) group hug. Cisco interrupts the moment to Oliver’s relief and presents Kara with a gift he made. The gift is an interdimensional extrapolator that creates small breaches so she can come back to this earth anytime she wants. It also has a communication device so she can contact the team when she wants/needs to.

Mick eavesdrops and learns of the device. He uses it to segway into a pickup line and hits on skirt aka Kara, telling her to call him.

In another part of the hanger Martin makes Jax promise not to tell the team about his daughter. He has had a change of heart and doesn’t want to lose her. If Jax tells the team they will be forced to restore the timeline and erase her from existence. The question remains: what other changes will this aberration make to the timeline if left alone?

Agent Smith briefly returns to speak to the team but before he can get a word out Kara tells him he has been reassigned to Antarctica. After silencing Smith Kara uses her breach device and returns home.

Forgiveness came full circle for Barry in the close of this episode. Diggle forgives him and tells Barry that he has to forgive himself.

Looking to continue the celebration Barry and Oliver head out to have a drink. After a few jabs their conversation turns more sincere. They realize that their lives would not be full if they were normal. They finally appreciate just how lucky they are.

DC Week’s 4 night crossover event continued on last night’s episode of The Flash. The invasion began in Central City when a spaceship landed in the center of town.

Barry approached the spaceship but was sent flying from a silver beam of light. Moments later The Dominators were unleashed, dashing off the spaceship. Lyla Diggle arrived in Central City shortly after the landing of The Dominators and she filled Team Flash in on what she knows. She then informed the team to stand down and let A.R.G.U.S. handle it.

Barry won’t back off that easily and heads out to Star City to recruit Team Arrow. While this is going on Iris and Joe watch as Wally reaches mock 2 during testing. Iris makes Caitlin and Cisco lie to Wally about his abilities hoping it will delay his use of his newly found superpowers.

Barry reaches Star City and saves Spartan and The Green Arrow from getting shot by a vigilante. He brings them both back to Felicity’s apartment and tells them about the invading aliens. Speedy aka Thea Queen walks in on their conversation and decides to come out of retirement to battle The Dominators. Oliver and Barry then have Felicity send a message to The Legends asking for their help.

The Legends arrive in Central City while Barry and Cisco go to Earth 38 and pick up Kara aka Supergirl. A new team assembles (Team Flash + Team Arrow + The Legends (minus Nate and Amaya who hang back to watch the wave rider) + Supergirl) and formulate a plan to take down The Dominators. Barry becomes team leader aka Oliver calls the shots and Barry repeats them. Oliver/Barry tell the team to prepare to train against Kara since she is an alien. The team battles Kara but nothing phases her.

While this is going on invasion continues. The Dominators ready a mind controlling device and prepare to use it on the president. They kidnap the president and take him back to a warehouse.

Barry learns that Snart died sacrificing himself for the team and also learns about the message he sent Rip in the future.

Wally shows up to try and train with the team. Iris is able to stop him from interfering. That is until he heads back to the lab and sees his test results; his powers are excelling and his body is adapting well to the changes. This only makes Wally want to get in the field more but Joe and Iris don’t want him to get involved, therefore Wally turns to an unlikely ally; HR. Wally tries to convince HR to secretly train him but HR turns him down not wanting to jeopardize his position with the team.

After his discussion with Barry, Martin starts having his visions again. Caitlin walks in mid-vision and Martin asks her to escort him back to his home to go see the woman in his visions. Martin arrives home and is finally able to confirm that the woman he is seeing in his visions is in fact his daughter. He is also still married to Clarissa.

Martin’s daughter is a direct result of Barry messing with the timeline. At least this aberration had a positive result for Martin. Unfortunately for the other members in the arrowverse it’s not the same story, which is why Cisco forces Barry to tell the team about his message and the changing of the timeline.

Diggle learns that he originally had a daughter and not a son. The rest of the team now distrusts Barry and therefore Barry sits out round one. Oliver refuses to go into battle without him and is forced to stay behind as well. The rest of the team lead by Kara go retrieve the president.

While in the field Kara tells the team about her x-ray vision. Mick being his usual repulsive self says he will call her skirt not Supergirl. That is right after he asks if she can see everyone’s giblets with her x-ray vision.

The team then heads into the warehouse and finds the president. Unfortunately for them it is a trap by The Dominators; the president was a hologram. They are then attacked by The Dominators and taken over by them.

Barry and Oliver have a heart to heart back at Star Labs. Barry shows Oliver the news article from the future where he goes missing. The news article from Barry’s future isn’t written by Iris West-Allen any more. What did Barry do in the future? Did he sabotage their relationship?

Oliver tells Barry that he isn’t a God and that he is going to make mistakes. What matters is that he learns from those mistakes. Moments later Barry and Oliver are alerted by Cisco that the team is under control of The Dominators. Barry and Oliver arrive on the scene and are attacked by their friends. They have to take them out one by one without killing them.

Seeing the trouble Oliver and Barry are in Wally goes out to help them. Wally gets injured by Kara when he tries to protect Barry. Ollie takes a now unconscious Wally and runs for cover while Barry challenges Supergirl to a race.

Ollie reaches a building but is cornered when he runs out of arrows. He is forced to compete in hand to hand combat with The White Canary aka Sarah Lance. On the other side of Central City Barry has Kara chase him back to the warehouse where The Dominators device is being held. Barry vibrates and Kara flies through him and the mind control device controlling the team breaking it, therefore breaking the mind control on them.

An injured Wally returns to Star Labs and is scorned by Joe and Iris. However all hope is not lost for Kid Flash as HR agrees to train Wally after he saw he was willing to sacrifice himself to save Barry and Oliver; he sees potential in the young speedster.

At the close of the episode Sarah is taken by The Dominators along with Ray, Oliver, Mick and Speedy.

Last night’s [Thursday November 10^th] episode of DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow took us back to 1987. Big hair, shoulder pads, Cutting Crew and Obsidian’s triumphant return set up the mood for the “Compromised”. Even Damien Darhk channeled his inner Miami Vice while collecting a fasces, an ancient Imperial Roman symbol of power featuring a bundle of sticks with an axe, indicating the power over life and death, from a buyer in Miami. Looking for his Sonny Crockett to go with his inner Ricardo Tubbs, Eobart Thawne (Reverse Flash) asks Darhk to be his partner with an added bonus of real power. Darhk turns down the offer as he prefers to work alone.

Timeship Inside The Vortex

After what he experienced in the last episode, Jax wants to make small changes to the timeline that he can control; he wants to create small aberrations in order to make the world a better place. Martin warns Jax about the effects even a small change can have on the timeline and reminds him that they are there to restore history not tinker with it.

Speaking of tinkering, Ray begins his cold gun training with Mick. After ruining a few of Mick’s beers, Mick tells Ray to channel his inner anger and rage.

As all this is going on Nate creates a way to track timequakes. A timeseismograph of sorts. Moments after Amaya (Vixen) names his invention it starts tracking an aberration in Washington DC 1987.

Nate and Amaya head to the JSA (Justice Society of America) headquarters to reach out to current JSA members while the rest of The Legends sneak into the White House. After arriving at a warehouse where the JSA training facility is hidden, Nate and Amaya discover no members of the JSA. The facility has been abandoned.

Back at The White House Martin runs into his younger self as Ray channels his inner Captain Cold (Leonard Snart) and steals some of President Reagan’s jelly beans. At least he was nice enough to share them with Mick. Seconds later Darhk crosses their path; he is in The White House as an advisor on the Reagan administration. Sarah learns of his presence and goes on the hunt. She goes after Darhk and subsequently gets the team kicked out of the White House.

Turns out the JSA facility was not exactly abandoned. Obsidian, the same JSA member we saw in 1942, finds Amaya and Nate. Nate knocks him out thinking he is going to attack the duo. After waking up Obsidian tells Amaya that after she left the JSA went on mission and they never made it back. He wasn’t allowed on that mission because he couldn’t be trusted.

After getting kicked out of The White House, the team had to come up with another plan to figure out what Darhk is up to. Hence, Ray and Mick’s stake out during Darhk’s meeting with a KGB agent. A naive young Martin introduces himself to Darhk after following him there. He then questions him for having a meeting with a KGB agent outside of The White House scheduled meetings and gets himself into some hot water. He is then stabbed by Darhk. Mick and Ray can’t get to him in time and therefore present Martin begins to bleed out just as his younger self is. Ray and Mick bring young Martin back to the ship and Gideon proceeds to fix him and save his life.

Throughout the episode Nate had been trying to get information from Amaya on what his grandfather, Commander Steel, was like. After some prying he learns that the Commander loved to sing and also gets Amaya to open up about her relationship with Rex; Rex and Amaya were going to leave the JSA to start a new life together. Amaya once again uses Obsidian and his connections to get the team into the state dinner. She is proving to be a real asset to the team.

Young Martin is M. I. A. once again and present Martin steps in; He dances with the younger version of his wife, Clarissa. Soon after Darhk arrives to the party and heads to a basement meeting. In said meeting he hands the KGB a cd-rom with government information and gets a box in return. What’s in the box?

The Legends arrive to try and break up the meeting but soon learn Darhk planted a bomb in the room where the state dinner is being held. Mick and Ray go on the hunt for it while Sarah goes after Darhk and the rest of the team takes on his henchmen. Ray tries to channel his inner Snart again and Mick finally realizes he is nothing like Snart was, which is a good thing. He apologizes to Ray for trying to make him like his long-lost friend and tells him to science his way out of disarming the bomb. Ray proceeds to dismantle the cold gun to overload the bomb.

Amaya and Obsidian find Darhk who fires bullets at Obsidian to no avail. Disappointed he shoots at Amaya but Obsidian takes the bullet for her. Sarah then hits Darhk with a ninja star and tells him about his future demise. She chooses to let him live and he is scooped up by Thawne moments later. Sarah tells the team that the time traveler is a speedster and shows them that she was able to swipe the box off Darhk. Seriously, what’s in the box?!

The team heads back to the timeship and Martin knocks some sense into his younger self. He makes young Martin realize Clarissa is the most important thing in his life. He makes him promise to show that to her. Young Martin sees the error of his ways and agrees to prove his love to Clarissa each and every day.

Gideon heals Obsidian’s wound and we learn that he is gay and that is why he wasn’t trusted to go on the mission back then. He then goes on to tell Amaya that he found true love and that she shouldn’t turn away from love if she finds it again. Will the friendship between Amaya and Nate blossom to something more?

At the close of the episode Thawne created a timeship for Darhk and they head into the speed force. Where are these two headed now? Is Thawne the reason Darhk gained his dark magic?
