After releasing last year’s Pony & announcing his deal with Private Club Records, San Diego native Rossirock quickly became one the most talked about rising artists in Southern California. With that EP dropping nearly a year ago, fans have been on the edge of their seats waiting for the next body of work. Well, the wait is over, as the TanBoy affiliate releases his newest project, The Main Chambelan.

Clocking in at 7 tracks, The Main Chambelan is a short but effective look into the progression of Rossi. While on previous projects and tracks, he focused on bar structure and lyrics, you can hear his fun side coming out more on this one with bouncy songs like, “Selena Over Jenny, Tequila Over Henny” where Rossi might’ve stumbled on an Hispanic anthem. Other favorites include, “Wide Awake” & “Fat Kids,” a menacing but ironically touching ode to the chubby kids who got no love in school.

Without a doubt, though, the best song on the project is, “Tecate Jacket” which sees Rossi bringing every single element in his arsenal to display, creating one of the best hooks in his discography so far.

Be sure to listen to The Main Chambelan below & keep an eye on Rossi’s Rock, who’s not done with this rollout quite yet.

Staying consistent is a tough task for some, and it gets even tougher once success starts coming into play. Having a good team around you can be the difference between a one-hit-wonder and a legitimate career. After delivering one of 2017’s more underrated EPs in, Pony, San Diego native Rossi Rock returns to our pages with his brand new single, “Drip Drop,” proving that he’s here for the long run.

Produced by fellow Daygo native TC DOE!, “Drip Drop” is a bouncy, wildly catchy tune that highlights Rossi’s fun side. Rapping in a cadence that sticks in your head long after the song finishes, Rock leaves the entendres at home in search of a smash. While on the surface, that may make the song’s efforts sound shallow, one good listen will show that the song is more about providing a good time than it is about following a Billboard formula. And with his impressive lyrical resume already building some steam, it may have been time to let loose a little.

A little over a year ago, I moved out to San Diego, California. I was in the midst of what I believed would be a long relationship and on top of that, San Diego was the perfect place for me to go cultivate my new career, which was in Music media. Not only was SD a must for any major Hip-Hop tour, making it ultra-easy to constantly connect with artists, but the city had a crazy underground scene beginning to pop off. Spear-headed by RCA’s newest signee Rob $tone and his rowdy 1207 clique, who opened my eyes to the scene, Daygo had a laundry-list of up and comers who were just scratching the surface of their potential. From Malik Burgers, Deezo and Fred Burton, to John Givez, MaZhe. and more; San Diego had an exciting crop of hungry emcees that all displayed different styles, but had a distinct sound that was unique to the city. Though all of the above artists have put the city on in different ways – Rob has a double platinum record – I’m not sure that any of them carry the long-term potential to be king like Chula Vista resident Rossi Rock.

If you were to hear Rossi before you ever seen him, which is rare nowadays, his initial appearance might surprise you. Sounding like a more polished and complex Dom Kennedy with a splash of Wale’s tone and word-exaggeration – with the potential to be better than BOTH – Rossi looks nothing like he sounds. While through his lyrics you can gather that his Hispanic heritage means a lot to him, unless you’re a psychic, the last thing you would expect to see would be a burly 6’2 man with a thick beard, black Tecate jean-jacket, and pants cuffed up at the ankle – okay you might’ve gotten that one. My initial reaction to seeing him is well documented, so I won’t go into that, but the dude has a clear image. And it’s this image that has quickly transformed Rossi from, “he’s up next in the city” to “he’s up next, PERIOD,” all which was validated at Queen Bee’s, a small but cozy all-ages venue in North Park, San Diego on Saturday night.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-168169" data-attachment-id="168169" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2017/08/respect-recap-san-diegos-rossi-rock-brings-everything-full-circle-private-club-celebration-show/img_3198/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/IMG_3198.jpg?fit=2048%2C1365&ssl=1" data-orig-size="2048,1365" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{"aperture":"4","credit":"","camera":"Canon EOS 5D Mark II","caption":"","created_timestamp":"0","copyright":"","focal_length":"26","iso":"200","shutter_speed":"0.005","title":"","orientation":"0"}" data-image-title="IMG_3198" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="<p>Photo taken by @ShotsByLee for RESPECT.
What was <del datetime="2017-08-01T18:02:50+00:00">disguised</del> billed as the Pony release show, was actually a celebration of Rossi’s signing to Private Club Records, an independent label led by brothers MadeinTYO and 24Hrs. The opening line-up included fellow PC signees, Noah Wood$ & MyNameisPhin, and Suav City reps Saucalini & Sebby OG, who also hail from SD. While all of the openers had moments on stage that captivated the crowd – especially Sauce and Sebby, who seem to be where Rossi was a year ago, just oozing with potential to takeover – the whole show was just a buildup in anticipation for the man of the night, who then came out and murdered his set.

Buoyed by recent success from his latest EP, Pony – his first with Private Club – Rossi stood tall, knocking out hit after hit, playing crowd favorites like, “Scarface”; “Tell Me” and “Kelly Green.” Although the Pony tracks got the crowd jumping – “Kelly Green” was nuts – Queen Bee’s went absolutely ape-shit when Rossi started playing tracks from his debut project, Agassi. Maybe it was the fact that Rottweiler had a clothing shop pop-up during the show, but it seemed like, when Rossi played his ode to the brand, the whole building had just taken a 5-hour-energy capsule—and that was just the front-end of a deadly back-to-back-to-back of jams thrown at us by Rossi that also included, “19&55” & of course, “That’s My Lady.” I’m not sure I can properly explain how rowdy it was when Rock let that track ring, but I can say this: by the time the song was on its 3rd encore, Rossi didn’t have to sing ONE word.

I attend many local hip-hop shows in my spare time and I can honestly say I haven’t seen that kind of crowd reaction for a cat without a major national buzz since…. well last year. I remember in the exact same city, maybe about 10 miles away a year ago having that same feeling watching Rob $tone and 1207 at Soma for his sh

ow in celebration of him signing to RCA Records. Both of those artist showcased a genuine happiness for the blessings that were coming their way. Both artists savored the moment and didn’t let one second slip by. Both artists had San Diego ROCKING to its core. But only one is Rossi Rock, and if I had to put my money on any single artist from the coastal city, it would be The Main Chambelan, but that’s no slight to Rob – who again, has a double platinum record – or the rest of San Diego. Rossi’s just that damn good.

San Diego, California is starting to develop a sound, or we’re just now paying attention. Either way, the 619 is called home by some of the most creative minds in West Coast Hip-Hop right now — including John Givez, Rob $tone, Malik Burgers and more – but none are more hot at the moment than hometown favorites Suav City. Spearheaded by recent Private Club Records Signee Rossi Rock and Rottweiler’s Stillo Suav, the collective has been on a roll lately; releasing an online magazine, dropping Rottweiler’s anniversary collection and of course the release of Rossi’s new EP, Pony, which features the scolding-hot single, “Tell Me” featuring 24hrs. Looking to keep the streak alive, the collective added Sebby OG & Suacalini of, “Ball Cap” fame to the mix with the latter wasting no time on establishing his place in the crew, releasing his newest single, “Boomin’” featuring Rossi.

Opting for a completely different vibe on, “Boomin’” than “Ball Cap,” Saucalini instead focuses on crafty cadences and lyrics as opposed to melodies and auto-tuned hooks. It’s a refreshing listen to hear the SD native showcase a versatility that will endear him to both fans of melody rap, and substance. The distinct old-school player sound provided by Saucalini’s arrogant wordplay, compliments Rossi’s scathing verse, which sounds like the Tanboy affiliate reaching his final form, spewing off claim after claim that nobody is fuck*ng with his pen, period.

“Too keep it 100 bro, I just played the beat and freestyled it. (Laughs) I didn’t really have a concept,” said Saucalini over email to RESPECT., “It all kind of speaks for itself; talking about making these moves and when we follow thru with them, I’m buying my girl a bag/Jag.” The Daygo product also spoke on he and Sebby OG’s upcoming collaboration, StonedColdPilots, “This song will be on my brother and I’s project, StonedColdPilots. There’s a couple songs with Rossi Rock featured. That shit is full of slaps man, I can’t wait to release it to the universe—good lawd almighty, that’ll be pleasant.”

Check out the premiere for, “Boomin’” below, and be sure to keep an eye on Saucalini and the Suav City collective.

What happens when you put a hungry young cub with little experience against a bitter old Lion with infinite knowledge but no filter? You get moments – and memes – like this, this and this. A couple of days ago, contemporary Hip-Hop punching bag, Lil’ Yachty & established old-head Joe Budden — & I guess DJ(?) Akademiks? – squared off on Complex’s brilliant new daily show, Everyday Struggle. After going back and forth online due to some comments made by Joe on earlier episodes, the two decided it would be not only beneficial but entertaining to meet in person—in front of the cameras. Throughout the episode, we saw the two rappers mostly debate on topics like Yachty’s impact, competition between he and his peers and probably the most meme-worthy, the “Happy Debate.”

Perhaps the most important part of the interview, though, had to be Lil’ Yachty stating that not only was he ignorant to if he was currently in a “360” deal, but that he wasn’t sure what kind of deal that was…. Like at all. This incited a VERY concerned response from Joe – granted it was draped in fury – about how Yachty should be more in tune with how his business is being handled. Entertaining would be the understatement of the century in terms of chronicling the rest of the interview, but beneficial can’t even begin to describe how lucky Yachty was to hear this. YES, I said it. Yachty was lucky that Joe was speaking to him like this, because obviously, nobody else is.

Now, the man is 19-years-old, two years removed from serving Big Macs in Atlanta and currently on top of the world; HE IS GOOD…. For now. As he said, Budden isn’t worried about 19-year-old Yachty, he’s more worried about 35-year-old Yachty and his family—and it’s good that somebody is. Ironically, the only boast that Budden could seem to prod from the ultra-humble – media trained – Yachty was him saying that he does better business than his contemporaries. On the surface, I agree with him. Target and Sprite are ginormous looks, and last I checked they weren’t looking to be endorsed by somebody who will, “pull up on you and tie your kids up.” But that’s all onthe surface. All of the commercials in the world don’t mean anything if you’re not getting your FAIR cut. Remember this Yachty, and every other aspiring rapper who reads this column: Without you, there’s no us. Know your worth.

Check out this week’s With All Due RESPECT. featuring buzzing Private Club rapper Rossi Rock, North Carolina’s Caterpillar Jones, Dave B and more.

Ashoka – “No Stress”

Philly native Ashoka checks in and makes his second appearance on the WADR list after last year’s, “For You.” with his infectious new single, “No Stress.” Staying true to the song title, “No Stress” follows Ashoka letting go of a chick who is obviously coming with more baggage than he bargained for. “Okay your dad never call that’s enough to deal with/ now I don’t call either that’s some over kill shit/ that combination can’t make you feel the prettiest,” raps Ashoka on the third and final verse, creating a sense of remorse for the girl he’s letting go. Musically, the song showcases Ashoka’s best qualities; songwriting, vocal transitions and choice of beats. While many other current rappers are opting for the more trap-influenced sound with drugged out melodies and heavy synths; the Philly native instead opts for a looped sample and some sporadic hi-hats that compliment his flow perfectly. In short, the song is the perfect track to decompose to. Check out, “No Stress” below.

Dave B – “Kandi”

Coming in next on the list is Seattle native Dave B and his wavy, almost acidic new single, “Kandi.” Throughout the beginning of the track, Dave sticks true to most of the elements that are popular in today’s landscape. His uber quick rhyme schemes — “Smoke a lil, drink a lil, keep you on the offence/ sniff a lil ‘fore you go and grab a nigga coffee” — set to a synth heavy backdrop highlight what has the potential to make the Soulection affiliate one of the more popular artists in 2018 and beyond. My favorite part of the track, though, has to be how effectively Dave protrays his bitterness. He seamlessly transitions from resentful to remorseful, while simataneously switching from cold blooded lyracist, to somebody with enough vocal range to ingite Bilal flashbacks. Couple that type of indecisive creative artistry with the dusty, Soulquarious–inspired drums on the hook and you have what could be an unsung canditate to blow up this summer. With the backing of Soulection meshed with tracks like this, it’s only a matter of time before the Seattle native gets his due dilligence. Peep, “Kandi” below.

Coach Tev – “Flight Change (Feat. Jay Luse & Cambino)”

I’ll go ahead and say it, Dallas native Coach Tev will be the breakout artist of 4th quarter 2017. After releasing some of my favorite Soundcloud music of 2016 in, “Lefty“, “Chrissy’s Interlude” and “Midnight Cruiser“; Coach returns again with the introspective, yet very relatable single, “Flight Change.” Sticking to his pattoned tranquil flow and easy-to-rock-to beat choices, Tev reminds me of a southern Dom Kennedy with more lyrical ability. His smooth cadence on this track about “fly-outs” gone wrong and disappointments is the exact kinda of relavent social commentary that I belive will endear Tev to the masses. If “Chrissy’s Interlude” served as the story of Tev meeting his dream chick and bagging her, and “Midnight Crusier” saw Tev explore the idea of leaving said woman who just wasn’t on his level, then “Flight Change” has to be the beginning of a new chapter. One where he opts for a woman abroad as opposed to one of the locals. In all, the track sets up a solid buzz and excitement for his upcoming project, I Fell In Love With My Mistress, which is sure to be filled with raw, emotionally charged raps with a smooth twist. Check out, “Flight Change” below and get hip to the Texas native.

Rossi Rock – “Tell Me (Feat. 24hrs)”

If you follow this publication or my writing at all then by now you’re well aware of Rossi Rock, the San Diego native making huge waves in the scene right now. If this is your first time reading about him, well you’re in for a treat, and there’s no better introduction than his new single, “Tell Me” featuring 24hrs. Set to the backdrop of what can only be described as a nostalgic, late 80’s R&B tribute with modern twist; “Tell Me” is one of Rossi best records to date and a complete flex of his lyrical abilities. Mostly known for his melodic bangers like, “That’s My Lady” and his Bodega Bamz assisted, “Suav City II“, Rock opts instead for the more slowed down, drugged out style with a romantic twist. If you’re a new Rossi fan, 24’s auto-tune heavy hook and Rossi’s smooth cadence will intrigue you to dig deeper into his catalog. If you’re a seasoned fan, lyrics like, “drive through the city getting bop on the 8, girl I get around like Tupac in a way,” will arouse, “Never Sure” vibes and nostalgia from his Agassi tape. The track comes off of the TanBoys affliliate’s new EP, Pony, and serves as what could be a springboard to mainstream success for Private Club Record’s newest signee. Check out, “Tell Me” below and be sure to peep Pony, out now.

Caterpillar Jones – “Testosterone (Feat. Ali Superb)”

Music is a beautiful thing in this world, let me tell you. The way some of these artists express themselves in ways that I know are probably killing their soul inside, is nothing short of remarkable. I remember one time, leaving this girl’s house at 4:30 in the morning after doing… well whatever you do at somebody’s house at 4:30. During the drive home, I allowed my music to play on shuffle and ironically, Future‘s “My Collection” came on and I instantly felt like the coolest cat this side of the Mississippi. After what had just happened, I knew that I would most likely never see ol’ girl again, so I vibed out as hard as possible to lyrics like, “even if I hit you once you part of my collection.” The strange thing, though, is if you get past the easily-to-relate-to chorus, the verses are filled with sadness, angst and an overall depressive tone that could ruin anybody’s high. That’s the true mark of an artist though, make me feel good even when you aren’t. North Carolina’s Caterpillar Jones showcases that exactly quality on, “Testosterone.” To be frank, if you’ve ever been scummy in a relationship before, it won’t be hard to connect to this track. “Testosterone” is a two-and-a-half minute heartfelt apology to a woman that Jones has obviously pushed to the edge. The crazy thing about it is, he seems to be more shook up about it. While brief, Ali Superb provides maybe the most pivotal part to the song in my opinion. “You wanna lie? Then I can leave you lone/ You wanna fly? Then I can let you go/ You wanna die? Then keep fucking with these hoes,” croons Superb towards the tail end of the track, casted as what I believe to be Caterpillar’s conscience. Between comparisons to Tiger Woods‘ sex addiction and refferrences to STD-fueld pregnancies, “Testosterone” might be the most REAL song that you hear all day. Check it out below.

Is it just me, or has San Diego been on the rise lately? In case you’ve missed it, the city – who’s mostly known for the Chargers (RIP), Sea World and Tony Gwynn – has been on fire musically. After signing with RCA records, native Rob $tone reached platinum success with the record, “Chill Bill” which was followed by a breakout for his whole 1207 camp and a spotlight on the SD scene and it’s exuberant group of local artists. Never the one to miss an opportunity, already buzzing South Bay rapper Rossi Rock dropped, what I believe, to be the most underrated project of 2016 in, Agassi. Now, the TanBoys affiliate is back with a new deal, new swank, and an improved sound on his freshly released EP, Pony.

Boasting only six tracks, Pony is a quick but highly enjoyable ride into the mind of a man in his late 20s realizing his worth. “Did it outta love, now I want the check,” rhymes Rock on the projects opening track, “Kelly Green”, which caught a strong buzz on the internet prior to release thanks to some enjoyable vlogs from the Suav City crew. In this song, Rock sounds more confident than ever before, seemingly staring his impending success straight in it’s eyes. The SD native also takes time on the track to address comparison that many – including myself – tried to box him into, “This ain’t Wale folarin, this ain’t Dom I’m recording,” silencing any talk that he was a knock off combination of the two. Rossi then transitions into two new tracks, “Scarface” & “Smile”; both of which showcase a new style to the, “Suav City Pt. II” rapper. On the prior, he captures the essence of feeling good and runnin’ up a check in Vegas, and on the latter, he takes more of a “suav” approach, if you will. “I don’t got no car, but she love me like I got a benz/ I don’t got no money but she love me like I got a deal/ I do this on my own, but she love me like I got a mill,” flows Rossi in a silky smooth cadence that’s accompanied by a perfectly placed ninetyfivetill instrumental buoyed by dusty drums and dormant soul samples. The EP then transitions into, “Fitty Flow” – a track laced in Latin melodies and prophetic bars – and, “That’s My Lady,” a reprise from his, Agassi, tape that was one of the most catchy, yet topically dense tracks of 2016.

Photo from @RossiRock

The money maker on this project, though, has to be the 24hrs assisted, “Tell Me”. This is the song where Rossi puts everything together and reaches his final form. On what sounds like the sequel to, “Never Sure” from Agassi, Rossi flexes his effortlessly charming cadence, “The club private but you got inside, and now I’m talkin’ to you face to face now,”; his improved ability to stay in pocket, “She hopped up popped up/ Living in L.A./ tryna do real, B.I.G. and stay away from all that drama,”; and shoutouts out his city in a really clever way, “Ride through the city, gettin’ bop on the 8/ girl I get around like Tupac in a way,” all to the tune of a geniusly crafted 24 hook that hasn’t left my head since it dropped. With the song at 30K plays and counting in less than 72 hours, I think Hip-Hop agrees with that assertion.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-159989" data-attachment-id="159989" data-permalink="https://respect-mag.com/2017/04/san-diego-native-rossi-rock-releases-new-ep-announces-signing-private-club-records/img_2350/" data-orig-file="https://i0.wp.com/respect-mag.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/IMG_2350.jpg?fit=1364%2C2048&ssl=1" data-orig-size="1364,2048" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{"aperture":"0","credit":"","camera":"","caption":"","created_timestamp":"0","copyright":"","focal_length":"0","iso":"0","shutter_speed":"0","title":"","orientation":"1"}" data-image-title="IMG_2350" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="<p>Photo by Lee Hernandez</p>

Pony, hasn’t been the only thing keeping Rossi busy, though. The 26-year-old recently confirmed to RESPECT. that he has inked a deal with 24’s label Private Club Records. To anybody watching, the move isn’t surprising as the Private Club crew – Noah Wood$, MadeinTYO, etc. – have been promoting the SD native heavily recently. Having already aligned himself with NYC boss, Bodega Bamz, this move to Private Club seems like the perfect chess move for Rock and his team. With his Suav City imprint adding Saucalini & Sebby — of “Ball Cap” fame — to the mix, Suav City really might be taking over. I guess he really did just get off the phone, talking money with 24 as said on, “Fitty Flow.”

Yesterday, our nation mourned in unison in remembrance of the men and women who lost their lives 15-years-ago in a terrorist attack against the U.S. Whether you believe in one the many “conspiracy” theories that have been conjured about about 9/11, the fact is that many people lost their husbands, wives, sons, daughters, friends, sisters, and brothers that night and our condolences are out to the families that lost a loved one. But it wasn’t all bad that day, Hip-Hop received not one but two classic albums that day in Jay-Z‘s Blueprint, and Fabolous‘ Ghetto Fabolous… Okay just one, but “Trade It All” was my sh*t — shoutout Jagged Edge — and it was the debut album that would introduce Fab to the world, which is notable in itself. Before any of your young homies come running up to you on some, “Check out this Jigga track, “Song Cry“, Super slept on!” ish; peep out these 5 tracks that are actually slept on and are soon to blow.

Ankhle John – “Lil’ Booties Matter (RAW)”

One of the casualties of today’s hyper-sexual, video-vixen driven culture has been the defamation of the normal everyday body. Women have been racing to their nearest surgeon in hopes of being made into the newest carbon copy, with ass shots being the number one inquiry. D.C. native Ankhle John is here to tell you guys’ that won’t be necessary. Meshing golden age like cadences with a lyrical exploration of the body that Akinyele would blush at, John showcases his vast creativity. “First time we linked up, she showed me she’s a snorter/ Shorty ghetto smart, sent to Georgetown to be a lawyer/ I keep it cool, I peep the coke in her nostril” rhymes John in the midst of his lyrically dense tale. Check out, “Lil’ Booties Matter (RAW)” below and be sure to keep an eye on the D.C. native.

Max Gertler – “Grammy (Feat. Flahzi)”

Happy music has been popularized now more than ever. No more are the days of struggle tales and come up raps the industry darling; nowadays the Lil’ Yachtys and D.R.A.M.’s of the world have made happy pop rap the new trend. This is the lane that Max Gertler and his wavy, synth heavy track, “Grammy” drive in. Though old heads may be disgusted by this — which confuses the sh*t out of me — I love it. “When I win a Grammy, I’m gon’ rock it on my wrist” raps Gertler repeatedly throughout the track, which is full of aspirational conquests and leaves you feeling ready to conquer the day’s troubles. Check out the tropical new track, which is sure to blow, below and check out the Brooklyn native’s new tape, Di$ney, which is out now.

Tate Tucker – “Roll With Her”

Everyday when I get up in the morning, I do three things. First thing I do is get up and brush my teeth, the second is check my email and the third is thank the music gods for sending us Anderson .Paak and his groovy, unconventional style. Thanks to the great reaction to his latest project, Malibu, more and more artists have been finding more success being themselves and adding a little funk to it. One of those artists is Los Angeles rep Tate Tucker, whose ability to seamlessly switch from qualified wordsmith to on-key vocalist is a feat that is not to go underappreciated. On the track, “Roll With Her” Tucker exhibits a smooth, suav demeanor that serves to make him a favorite among the female listeners. Check out the swanky track, “Roll With Her” below and be sure to keep an ear out for the City of Angels native.

Rossi Rock – “That’s My Lady”

This weekly list was comprised to highlight both music that is on the cusp of blowing up, and music that is really good and going under the radar. San Diego native and TanBoy rep Rossi Rock and his infectious track, “That’s My Lady” is exactly the type of track we had in mind. Produced by Chris Romero, “That’s My Lady” is a fun bouncy track that finds Rossi effortless flowing about everything from 8 Mile, Jermaine Dupri, and of course his lady. Over rapid hi hats and a faint horn bouncing in the background, Rossi exhibits the lyrical qualities that have him buzzing in circles all throughout the industry with his fantastic tape, Agassi, which is the only tape to have two songs featured on With All Due RESPECT. Check out the bubbling track from the TanBoy below and get yourself acclimated now before the bandwagon is full.

Rob $tone – “Meetings (Feat. Denzel Curry)”

There have been plenty of winners and losers throughout the duration of 2016 — America being the biggest loser — but I’m not sure anybody has had quite the year that San Diego native Rob $tone has had. After moving back west from Atlanta and really putting the full court press on his music career, $tone carved out one of the years biggest underground in “Chill Bill” with his 1207 crewmates which saw him sign a contract to RCA Records and burst out as one of the year’s breakout stars. Out to prove that he’s more than just a one hit wonder — and that song is a HIT — $tone dropped his second mixtape, I’m Almost Ready, and first since signing to RCA. He failed to disappoint. Though there are a few bonafide bangers on there — see “Don’t You Dare” and “Rolling Stone” the track that will sure have everybody buzzing — as evidenced by this tweet — will be the groupie banger “Meetings” featuring one of the year’s best guest verses from Denzel Curry. Just like we called “Chill Bill” and Dae Dae‘s “What You Mean“ before they hit the Billboard Top 100, we’re calling this one as well. Don’t sleep, get hip now. Check out “Meetings” below.
