Abra Kadabra came to Central City looking for some of Earth 1’s technology. Gypsy was not far behind him. In his first act on Earth 1 Abra Kadabra trapped and killed two security guards via drowning, in order to take some of the unused technology.

The Flash quickly caught up to Abra Kadabra after he broke into another tech facility and learned that Abra Kadabra is from the future. When Barry arrived Abra Kadabra knew exactly who he was and knew about the Savitar/Iris situation Barry is facing. Unfortunately Abra Kadabra was able to escape from Barry and Gypsy using a card trick.

Gypsy and Barry return to the lab and there she informs the team that Abra Kadabra uses Nanotechnology to perform his tricks. The team is then able to use their own technology to track Abra Kadabra or so they thought. Kadabra used a hologram to trick The Flash, Kid Flash, Vibe and Gypsy into leaving the lab. He then attacked STAR labs where Caitlin, Julian and Joe were. Luckily Barry was able to get to them in time and put him in handcuffs.

Abra Kadabra then tried to negotiate his release by offering up Savitar’s real name to Barry and the team. He also tells Barry that he does eventually beat Savitar but only after Iris dies. They place Abra Kadabra in a cell and Iris tells Barry that she does not want him to set a murderer free just to save her life. He agrees but Joe has other ideas. He lets Abra Kadabra go and just as he is about to get information on Savitar Gypsy appears and Kadabra takes off after he steals technology from Wells.

Kadabra then blows up a portion of STAR labs and Caitlin got impaled in the crossfire. Caitlin then stayed awake during her surgery to give Julian instructions on how to save her life. The surgery is successful thanks to Julian and a little help from Iris.

During Caitlin’s surgery Gypsy discovered why Abra Kadabra came to this Earth. He is building a time machine and needed Wells power source in order to get back to the future. Once again Vibe, Gypsy, Kid Flash and The Flash team up to capture Abra Kadabra. Barry snagged the villain by phasing through the time machine and taking Kadabra back through with him. Barry then tried to get Kadabra to tell him about Savitar but he refused. He told Barry that they are enemies in the future and have been for a long time. Gypsy then escorted the criminal and man who killed her former partner/lover, to his execution. As for Cisco and Gypsy’s romance… it seems these two won’t be able to work it out.

Unlike Cisco and Gypsy, Julian and Caitlin rekindled their romance after Caitlin’s successful surgery. They even sealed it with a kiss. Unfortunately it is short lived as Caitlin goes into shock and dies. However, Julian in a last attempt to keep his newfound love alive, ripped off Caitlin’s necklace (the only thing keeping her powers at bay) and her body began to regenerate. Killer Frost was then unleashed. The frosty villain fired ice at her friends and escaped from STAR labs.

At the end of the episode Barry decided that he must head back into the future and learn everything he can. That is the only way he can save Iris.

NEXT EPISODE (APRIL 25th):

Barry heads back into the future

Killer Frost is running rampant

The latest episode of The Flash brought and Grodd and his army of psychic gorillas to Central City. Thanks to Gypsy, Grodd was able to create breach and bring his army to The Flash’s stomping grounds. Grodd has only gotten smarter and more evil as time has gone on and that caused a heap of trouble for Team Flash. Luckily they had another speedster, Jessie Quick, to help with alleviating some of the damage.

“Attack on Central City” kicked off with an attack from a mind-controlled Gypsy. The fellow viber attacked Cisco and then Barry at STAR Labs but was temporarily put down by Harrison Wells. They capture Cisco’s love interest and place her in a chamber. When she comes to she is confused as to how she arrived in Central City and why she is there to begin with. The team quickly figures out that she was captured and used by Grodd. Cisco releases Gypsy and then asks her for help in defeating Grodd but she refuses as it “isn’t her fight”.

Jessie and Wally decided to use this moment in time to announce to Wells that Jessie is moving to Earth 1 to be with Wally. Apparently there is no better time than in the midst of a gorilla attack to announce that you are moving. Wells then went on to tell Wally he is dying (“he doesn’t have much time left”). Wally later tells Jessie what her dad said to him and she isn’t buying it and for good reason. He was lying to try and get her to stay home.

Meanwhile, Cisco’s vibe glasses get an upgrade and he can now see deeper into the future. He learns of Grodd’s plans to come across the bridge leading into the center of Central City. Unfortunately Grodd won’t be stopped. He uses Joe to get that message across clearly to Barry. Grodd makes Joe shoot himself in the head, luckily Barry was quick enough to stop the bullet in time. Joe was only grazed. Caitlin then comes up with idea to use Joe’s memories to figure out what Grodd’s next move is. When Grodd uses his psychic abilities he shares his own memories and thoughts with those he is controlling.

The team discovers that Grodd is now controlling a general who is in control of nuclear weapons. Barry then decides he has to kill Grodd. He doesn’t believe there is any other way to defeat as he is always bested by him. Barry believes it is the only way to save Iris but she won’t let him compromise his morals in order to save her life. Wells agrees and tells Barry that killing Grodd is not the answer. He has to find another way.

Together the team discovers a way to defeat Grodd. Barry figures out the 5 digit code (45127) and aborts the launch of nuclear missiles Grodd was trying to implode on Central City. Cisco then heads back to Earth 19 and finally gets Gypsy to help him out. The two head back to Gorilla City and pick up Solovar. They bring him back as Jessie, Barry and Wally are almost defeated by Grodd. Grodd and Solovar face off and Solovar is victorious. However, before Solovar can kill Grodd for betraying him Barry steps in and asks for mercy on Grodd’s behalf. Solovar agrees when Barry tells him that Grodd will be staying in Central City and never return to Gorilla City.

Barry sends Grodd to ARGUS with the help of Lyla Diggle and the gorillas return to Gorilla City.

The episode closes with a Gypsy/Cisco kiss, Jessie moving to Earth 1, Barry proposing to Iris and Wally encountering Savitar.

NEXT WEEK:

This week’s episode of ‘The Flash’ was centered on Grodd and Gorilla City. The episode kicked off with Earth 2 Harrison Wells being chased by Grodd. Harrison and 10 crew members (who are now all dead) went out on an expedition to Gorilla City after Wells received a message from the gorilla’s asking to meet him. Gorilla City’s occupants are all telepathic gorillas like Grodd.

The team, including Julian, packs up and heads to Gorilla City to save Wells. Wally and Jessie stay behind to look after Central City while they are gone. Minutes after the team arrives through Cisco’s breach they are trapped and tranquilized by Grodd. The tranquilizer had the ability to dampen both Barry and Cisco’s powers. Grodd then uses Wells to speak to the team. He tells The Flash that he needs his help. That the gorilla king Solovar is forcing him to do this and that he wants to unleash an attack on Central City. Grodd tells Barry he needs to kill Solovar in the arena. Then he will be able to take his place and keep the gorillas in Gorilla City.

Barry agrees to fight Solovar but only him. He makes a deal with him; if he defeats Solovar then his friends go free, if not well then they all die. Solovar agrees and they begin their battle. In battle Solovar uses Barry’s abilities against him thus forcing Barry to pull a page out of Reverse Flash’s playbook. Using a phase punch he is able to knock down Solovar but refuses to kill him. He wants to prove to the gorillas that not all humans are evil and out to hurt them. Unfortunately it falls upon deaf ears and Barry is once again tranquilized.

Grodd becomes the ruler of Gorilla City and we learn that everything that happened was a part of his plan. He needs Cisco to open a breach to Central City for them. Cisco says he would rather die than do that. He tells Caitlin to kill him but Julian won’t let her do that. Harrison finally comes to and the team comes up with a plan to kill Barry, temporarily. Caitlin freezes Barry and makes Grodd believe that he is dead. Grodd then pulls Barry out of his cell and leaves. Barry unfreezes himself by vibrating and unlocks the rest of the team. They make a run for it and are able to escape via Cisco’s breach.

Back on Earth 1, Wally and Jessie had been having issues of their own. Wally hasn’t really kept in touch since he got his powers and Jessie is afraid that he is now complete and doesn’t need her. However, Wally tells Jessie that he’s not complete without her and finally gets her to agree to move to Earth 1 and be with him.

When Julian and Caitlin return to STAR Labs Julian comes clean about only coming on the trip to Gorilla City to protect her. Caitlin thinks it’s sweet but tells him to be afraid of her. She doesn’t want to hurt him and wants him to keep his distance. He agrees to “fear” her but only if she will join him at dinner. These two are adorable! #snowbert

Back in Gorilla City Grodd initiates his backup plan. He has Gypsy open a breach to Central City. Girl, why are you helping him?

Next Week:

Grodd and his army of gorillas invade Central City

Last week’s episode of The Flash introduced to an untouchable meta-human named Clive Yorkin. Yorkin’s powers were awaken by Dr. Alchemy and he began targeting those who wronged him in Flashpoint; members of the CCPD including Joe. Caitlin and Julian discover one of Yorkin’s kills and learn that the body continues to decay after the tissue is dead because of some element in his DNA.

Joe and Cecile set up a coffee date for their families to meet. During the awkward coffee date we learn that Joanie, Cecile’s daughter, is obsessed with Kid Flash. She then asks Joe who he would choose Kid Flash or The Flash, making an awkward situation that much more awkward.

Moments later Yorkin interrupts the party when he finds Joe at the coffee shop. He then shows off his ability to disintegrate all objects. Joe shoots at him but the bullets crumble off him. Wally was able to blast Yorkin away using his arms as wind tunnels. After the attack Iris decides to tell Joe about Savitar and her future. Obviously he is pissed that Barry, Iris and Wally all kept it from him.

Iris heads back to her apartment and gets attacked by Yorkin. Wally came to her aid but he wasn’t fast enough to save her from his touch. Wally rushes Iris to STAR Labs and there Caitlin is forced to use her powers to keep a constant freeze on the infection spreading in Iris’s body in order to buy time. Wally blames himself for what happened but Barry tells him it’s his fault. He hasn’t been properly teaching Wally. Barry then makes a promise to Wally to be a better teacher and to inspire him.

Cisco finds a way to track Yorkin and figure out who he is targeting. He vibes to flashpoint and figures out the next target is Laura Stone. The CCPD cop that arrested and berated Yorkin.

Back in the med-bay Iris’s blood begins to attack her cells in her body. Julian discovers that Barry’s blood can be used to take down Yorkin but not save Iris. The decay on Iris continues to spread while Caitlin loses control of her powers and turns into Killer Frost. Julian is able to talk her down and she is able to regain control in order to stall the decay once again.

Joe finds Laura Stone who is a private investigator in this universe and tells her Yorkin is after her. She is working and doesn’t want to stop so she forces Joe to come on the train with her. Yorkin finds them and attacks the train platform in an attempt to dislodge the train. Joe alerts Barry and he phases the train through the debris. Leaving Kid Flash to take on Yorkin.

Wally cuts his hand and phases through Yorkin, successfully neutralizing his powers. Julian was able to get an antidote from Yorkin’s blood after it was stabilized and they were able to save Iris. Joe then tells everyone that they have to be transparent in order to defeat Savitar. No more lies!

Julian then heads out to work on the husk Meta case. Totally forgot about that. Before Julian leaves Caitlin stops him and tells him to show his good side more often. She then offers to take him out for a drink and he gladly accepts. Budding romance?!?!

Closing out the episode we got a surprise visit from Jessie Quick. Jessie comes back through a breach and tells Wally Grodd has her dad in Gorilla City.

When The Flash returns on Tuesday February 21st:

The team heads to Gorilla City to save Harrison Wells from Earth 2.

The next two episodes will take place in gorilla city.

Shade was flying around on this week’s episode of ‘The Flash’. Most of it was coming from Wally who has been dreaming about being Kid Flash courtesy of Dr. Alchemy. All he wants to do is help people like Barry does. Wally thinks that everyone doesn’t want him to be Kid Flash because they don’t trust him. Not because it’s dangerous or whatever. Joe does treat him differently than Barry but it is because Wally reminds Joe of his younger self. Fearless. After their heart-to-heart Wally starts hearing Alchemy’s voice and overcome with severe pain. Joe brings him to Star Labs and HR says to put Wally in the pipeline until they can figure out how to keep him safe.

In this episode HR learns that Evil Wells killed and admitted to killing Barry’s mother so he can’t leave. He comes up with a cover for Star Labs so that no one figures out they are working with The Flash. The idea is a Star Labs museum. He then goes on to show the team his facial transmodification device; his way of getting around the no going outside ordeal. This device, from his Earth, can change his face so that he doesn’t look like Harrison Wells aka Evil Wells. While this is going on Caitlin steals the meta-human cuffs (the ones that will suppress a meta’s powers). Later on Cisco discovers they are missing. He throws some shade HR’s way and blames him for their disappearance.

Caitlin later comes clean and tells Cisco about her powers. She tells him to vibe her in the future so that she can find out whether or not she becomes Killer Frost. Cisco sees her as Killer Frost as he is in battle with her. He tells her he didn’t see anything so that she will stay.

HR, Joe, Cisco and Caitlin go to a movie in the park. They all meet up with Cecile, Joe’s date, while Barry Iris watch their younger brother in the pipeline. During their watch Iris divulges to Barry that she and Wally sometimes feel incompetent. Like they are useless. All they want to do is help like Barry does. Barry reassures her that he couldn’t be The Flash without Iris; he wouldn’t be able to do the job without her.

At the park Caitlin calls Cisco out for lying to her. He is forced to tell her about her future; the battle and that she is Killer Frost. After revealing Caitlin’s fate Cisco tells her that she has to tell the team. She says it’s too late and no one has to know.

Cecile and Joe go on their date and we learn that Cecile has an 18 year old daughter. After gathering snacks for the group HR begins to flirt with Cecile. Joe gets agitated by the situation but it is quickly cut short by Shade, the new meta-human wreaking havoc all over Central City thanks to Alchemy. Barry is forced to leave Iris alone with Wally in order to help save the people in the park.

However, Alchemy isn’t done. He talks to Wally in the pipeline and wants to set him free. Alchemy sends even more painful dreams Wally’s way and Iris rushes to his side telling him to fight through the pain. Alchemy continues to torture him. Wally screams at Iris to let him out. He momentarily passes out due to the pain but quickly recovers. Wanting to escape the torture Wally swings at Iris and she is forced to knock him out.

In the field, Caitlin is forced to hand over the cuffs to Barry in order to suppress Shade’s powers and capture him. They head back to the lab and learn that Alchemy sent a Meta to distract Barry from helping Wally. Cisco unable to keep Caitlin’s secret in any longer and forces her to tell the team about her powers. She is infuriated but comes clean. Barry goes to talk to her. He tells her everything that is happening is all because of flashpoint. Caitlin comes back into the control room and apologizes to Cisco. She was glad he told everyone as she is not good asking for help. Cisco promises to help Caitlin and Wally comes up with a plan to capture Alchemy. Wally wants to use himself as bait to help catch Alchemy.

Joe and Barry agree. The team of Wally, Joe, The Flash and The Meta-Human Task Force (minus Julian. He is nowhere to be found. Is he alchemy????) head out to find Alchemy. They arrive at Alchemy’s lair and Barry and Wally share a moment. Barry tells Wally he is scared too but being scared keeps him alert.

As Wally enters Alchemy’s humble abode he is greeted by Dr. Alchemy and three other hooded men. (Sidebar: Alchemy’s theme music is sick.) The rest of the team ambushes Alchemy and friends. Barry gets blasted by Alchemy’s rock thing knocking him down. Joe fires at the emblem knocking it out of Alchemy’s hand. Moments later an earthquake of sorts’ ripples through the lair and Alchemy turns himself into a lightning bolt freeing all his robed friends and killing the task force.

Alchemy still has his hooks in Wally. He calls out to him via the rock and tells him to grab it. In doing so Wally gets his powers back. Will he still be a hero or has Alchemy messed with his powers and turned him into a villain?

As Joe and Barry watch in terror as Wally get his powers back Savitar The God of Speed (who looks like a Decepticon) grabs Barry and pins him up against a wall. Who is this God and what does he want with Barry? Will he kill Barry for trying to stop Alchemy? Was this Dr. Alchemy all along or was Alchemy working for him?

Next Week:

Killer Frost comes out to play.

Things got real awkward (pun intended) on this week’s episode of ‘The Flash’. Ashley Rickards star of MTV’s ‘Awkward’ starred as Top aka Rosalind Dillion, a meta-human who has the ability to give her victims paralyzing vertigo. Top and Mirror Master are a Bonnie and Clyde like duo and two of Central City’s new rogues.

“New Rogues” also briefly brought back a fan favorite Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold. The first part of this episode takes place the night of the particle accelerator explosion to show us how Top and Mirror Master got their powers. “New Rogues” then jumps back to the present where Jesse and Barry are training.

Then the awkwardness really began for our couples. Joe walks in on Barry and Iris kissing. Jesse and Wally kiss, start a relationship and the end it just as quickly as Wally is afraid Jesse will go back to her earth and leave him broken hearted. Totally understandable. Luckily for Jesse, later on in “New Rogues” Wally admits his fear of Jesse leaving and makes a move. Will these two last? Would they try a long distance relationship between earths?

Even Joe and Cecile had some sparks flying between them. However, Joe is just as awkward as Barry when it comes to love.

Mirror Master also helps out his love by rescuing her from prison. After the escape we learn more about his abilities and how he is able to go through mirrors. He creates worm holes to get through reflective objects.

Back at Star Labs Harry and crew send out a cryptic message to recruit a Wells doppelgänger for the team. Cisco opens a breach and sends the message out to the multiverse. We then get to see the other Harry’s, some of them otherworldly, and find a winner on earth 19. A Wells with a sense of humor.

While this is going on Barry and Jesse set out to capture Top and Mirror Master. Jesse doesn’t adhere to Barry’s warning in training about casing her surroundings and doesn’t listen when he tells her to stay put. This unfortunately puts her in a really dangerous situation when Top and Jesse meet face to face. Top gives her a bad case of vertigo and she starts falling off the building. Barry comes to her rescue and is then thrown into a mirror by Mirror Master.

Back at Star Labs the team is trying to find something cold enough to slow down the molecules and get Barry out. The man-made machine is unsuccessful but Caitlin secretly uses her powers to help Barry break free.

Later in “New Rogues” Captain Cold teams up with Barry to help capture Mirror Master. Haha well a hologram of Snart. It had me fooled for just a minute and that was all Barry needed in order to capture Mirror Master. Barry leads him to a circle of mirrors which create an infinite reflective loop that Mirror Master can’t escape from.

While Barry handled Mirror Master, Jesse took on Top once again. This time she learned how to deflect the vertigo and in return sent Top for a spin.

After the new rogues are captured Wells lets Cisco know that the molecular device wasn’t working and that someone else let Barry out. Will they finally catch on to Caitlin’s abilities or will she accidentally use them and potentially get someone hurt? She can’t control them for too long. The girl literally froze her shower and gained a platinum blonde streak!

In the final scene of “New Rogues” Barry decides to move out in hopes of eliminating the awkwardness between himself, Iris and Joe. No more walking in on them making out.

Next Week:

New Wells aka HR is super sketchy. Cisco doesn’t trust him and snoops through his stuff.

A monster invades central city.
