If you’re not familiar: this Sunday will see the official premiere of Ice Cube‘s new sports league The Big 3 (above), which sees former NBA stars playing on a new “court” with new rules — including the fact that it’s 3-on-3 basketball. It can be considered a second chance at those who have retired from the NBA, especially those that never got a championship or found themselves on the outside unceremoniously; on the other end, it’s also a chance for fans of certain players (ie. Allen Iverson!) to see them competitive, in the United States, once again.
Being that Ice Cube is one of Hip-Hop’s greatest, it only makes sense for him to provide some serious bars in promotion of The Big 3, which can be seen below — along with Cube’s recent interviews explaining the concept. In related news, you can also pick up the 25th Anniversary of Cube’s classic album Death Certificate here.
