This weekend, legendary West Coast rapper and N.W.A. alum Ice Cube re-released his classic second album Death Certificate in honor of its 25th anniversary. The release is also the first for Cube under Interscope Records.
One of the most striking things about the pivotal release is the fact that its jarring subject matter — racism, police brutality, etc. — is just as relevant in 2017 as it was in the early 90’s. In addition to the original songs, Cube also added three tracks for good measure: “Only One Me,” “Dominate The Weak” and “Good Cop Bad Cop” (the latter of which also comes with a visual).
Stream the updated album (and the aforementioned clip) below via Apple Music, Spotify and TIDAL. Also included is Cube’s recent appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher, which saw him taking the polarized host to task over his recent use of the N-word.
