Now the anthem of a rapidly ascending viral movement, “Black Beatles” by the charismatic hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd has been remixed by Nicki Minaj, most likely as a result of the aforementioned popularity of the song.
The musicians have collaborated before on “Throw Some Mo’ off SremmLife, though all artists involved have undertaken new ventures, ideas, and sonics since the point two years ago when the track was released. Despite this, the lyrics still remain as boastful as ever on this newest effort, where Nicki Minaj raps over nearly the entirety of the track. The SoundCloud has the song retitled as “Black Barbies,” and Nicki rearranges the very popular opening lyrics to the track; “That girl is a real crowd pleaser” becomes “that boy is a real p*ssy pleaser.”

References to the deportation of immigrants and the recent presidential election also litter the lyrics in the three and a half long track, alluding to the versatility Nicki’s showcased throughout the length of her career. Perhaps Nicki’s effort is a signal for another album? We just have to be patient.
