Checking back in to the RESPECT. pages, Midwest rep Young Thunder drops off the blistering new cut, “Knock Them Haters Off.” Arriving as part of Thunder’s 2018 project, Synced, “Knock Them Haters Off” is an enticing track that see’s the Fort Wayne native enlist Duke J.R. as the two trade off barbs over the infectious production. Having already released a string of singles that have impressed, Thunder is on a tear to make this project stick.

Taking advantage of the festivities of the NBA’s All-Star game in L.A. this weekend, Young Thunder can also be seen performing on Monday, February 19th at an event raising awareness on sickel cell anemia that also features esteemed singer/songwriter Bone Davis. With an impressive project to match a stout work effort, look for Young Thunder to be one of the surprises of 2018.

Hollywood, California. It’s a place where stars are made and dreams come true. We’ve all heard about the marvelous film studios and glamours industry parties that dominate the city’s lure, but just a few miles outside of Tinseltown in Glendale, there’s a sense of normalcy among the chaos. Coming up in this environment, native Kellie Evans used her church choir background to propel herself to being an artist. Checking in to the magazine for the first time, she drops off her Young Thunder assisted track, “Spotlights.”

Sticking to the theme of her hometown, as well as a clean but smooth vocal performance, Evans demonstrates her potential to become a force in both Pop and Gospel music, if she chooses. Working on her untitled but sure-to-come EP, “Spotlights” serves as a nice appetizer before the main course.

Check out the track below and get familiar with Kellie Evans.

Thugs need love too. You heard 2Pac and every other rapper who ever laced a mic say it over the years. It’s a concept that’s allowed for some of rap’s more grungy voices to be accepted in the mainstream — Ja Rule, I’m talking to you — by gracing them with angelic singers like Ashanti on hooks. It also allowed for those who didn’t have such intolerable tones to eat up the pie themselves. After releasing his infectious debut on the RESPECT. Magazine pages, Fort Wayne native Young Thunder is back with his vibey new track, “She Can Lay It Down.”

Sticking to a melodic flow that surprisingly compliments his deep tone, Young Thunder lets off bars about an insecurity that cripples him from emotional connection, though not physical. It’s a solid single in preparation for the February 2nd release of his project, Synced. With his entertainment and clothing company, Street Philosophy firmly behind him, the sky is the limit for the Midwest representative.

Check out, “She Can Lay It Down” below and be sure to lookout for Synced, out next month.

No matter how much the purists try to push and pry, club music will always have a place in Hip-Hop. For every Mos Def, a lyrically-dense wordsmith who’s sole responsibility is to make you scrunch your face like you just smelled a fart, there’s five Mase’s–silky smooth, melodically driven rappers who place women above bars. That’s not to say that Mase didn’t have bars, or that Mos couldn’t rock a party, it’s just to say that there’s a place for everything in Hip-Hop, paving the way for promising artists like Midwest native Young Thunder, who checks in with his newest single, “Living.”

Sticking to a bass-heavy slapper provided by producer, The Dream Beats, Young Thunder lets loose about the finer things in life, and how to appreciate them. With so many people worried about tomorrow, sometimes It could be hard living for today. The single comes off of Thunder’s upcoming project, ‘Synced‘ which is set to release on February 2nd.

Check out the track, “Living” below and be sure to get familiar with the Indiana native.
