This week The Legends (and Rip) took us to both the past and the future in hopes of securing fragments of the spear of destiny. We got to see Camelot and Detroit in the year 3000.

Detroit 3000:

Rip finds Dr. Midnight in Detroit and kills him for his fragment of the spear. The Legends arrive shortly after and discover a brutally murdered Dr. Midnight with the word “Rip” spelled out in his blood.

Timeship:

Back on the timeship Gideon tracked down another fragment of the spear. It’s in Camelot. The team heads to Medieval England while Martin studies the nuero-gadget he stole from Dr. Midnight’s lab. Martin chooses Mick to be his test subject in trying to figure out how to control the device Dr. Midnight created.

Medieval England:

The Legends make it to Camelot and are greeted by Guinevere. Her and her men escort them back to the kingdom to meet King Arthur. There the Legends also meet Merlin aka Star Girl from the JSA. Star Girl tells the team that the last mission the JSA was sent on was with Rip. He gave three of them a fragment of the spear, keeping one for himself, and scattered the three JSA members throughout time. Star Girl stored her fragment in something having to do with the Knights of the Round Table but won’t let Amaya know exactly where it is because it is her duty, and hers alone, to protect it.

The Legends finally meet King Arthur but not under the circumstances they were hoping for. Arthur has been captured by Darhk and Rip. Rip who also stole some of Dr.  Midnight’s technology is mind controlling Arthur. Darhk tells them they have until sundown to choose; either they surrender Camelot or give up the spear of destiny.

Rip then makes Arthur murder Sir Galahad forcing Guinevere to become the leader of the Knights of the Round Table.

Star Girl is then forced to give up the location of the spear of destiny. It is inside Excalibur. Star Girl tells Amaya it is now her duty to protect the spear as Star Girl will be remaining in Camelot; she is in love with King Arthur and has made a home for herself as Amaya has with The Legends.

Ray also chooses to stay in Camelot even when Nate tells him he will die there. The battle for Camelot begins.

Timeship:

The Legends return to the timeship without Ray and Mick says he won’t abandon him. The rest of the team agrees and Sarah, Amaya and Nate go back for Ray while Jax, Mick and Martin work on the mind control device. Jax, Mick and Martin figure out that Mick can control the device because of his intensity and deeply scarred childhood. The device is not able to be overpowered by Martin’s powerful mind.

Mick unleashes his trauma upon King Arthur and his army and breaks their mind control.

Medieval England:

Rip is injured in battle and Darhk leaves him behind. Sarah and The Legends capture Rip and place him on the timeship.

Ray chases after Darhk and they battle until Darhk plays possum and shoots Ray with a laser gun. Luckily he wore his atom suit under his Knight’s armor and is unharmed.

The Legends head back to the timeship leaving Star Girl behind, after Sarah kisses Guinevere.

Timeship:

Back on the timeship Mick won’t let up about the fact that his brain and not Martin’s saved the day. Jax finds and confronts a caged Rip and threatens to kill him if he tries to hurt anyone again. Unfortunately that may come sooner rather than later as Gideon still listens to Rip.

Next Episode (Tuesday March 7^th):

Gideon sets Rip free and he initiates the Waverider’s self-destruct mode.

Sarah faces off with herself in a dream world.

Led by Liza Warner, China White & Cupid break out of prison. While in transit the trio kill their prison guards, let the other female prisoners on the bus off and hijack the bus back to Star City.

While this is going on Oliver pays a visit to Amanda Westfield, Prometheus’s mother. He asks her to give him her son’s name so that he can help him. She refuses to do so because she doesn’t want her son to be caged up like an animal.

After that failed mission Oliver is cornered by Susan Williams. She flat out asks him if he is The Green Arrow. He tells her no. Shortly after Oliver divulges this information to Thea who then tells Felicity. Thea has Felicity hack Susan’s laptop and place evidence of plagiarism on it. Pulling something out of Merlin’s playbook, Thea then passes this information along to Susan’s boss and gets her fired. Susan then tells Oliver about her evidence and that she was planning to go public with that information but now she can’t because she has been discredited.

While Susan lost her job, Dinah got herself one. She is now a member of the SCPD. There she learns about Quentin’s personal vendetta with Liza Warner. Warner is former SCPD and Quentin had thought he had convinced her to turn over a new leaf. We later learn that she turned back because she saw Quentin working for Damien Darhk.

Liza, China White and Cupid take out members of the triad in hopes of finding information on where Tobias Church left his 100 million dollars. While hunting the trio of villainous woman, The Green Arrow is surrounded by ACU and told he is being arrested for the murder of Detective Billy Malone. He is able to escape capture by using a flash/smoke bomb from his bow. Oliver finds out that Prometheus sent Pike Billy’s autopsy that had information connecting The Green Arrow’s arrows with the death of Malone.

Oliver as mayor is able to get Pike to back off and the team goes after Cupid and the lot. Dinah now equipped with the Black Canary mask, given to her by Felicity, is able to knock down China White after she shoots Wild Dog. However, the ladies came prepared with their own group of thugs. Luckily Pike had the ACU track The Green Arrow and arrived on location to arrest all three women.

Unfortunately the big battle has just begun. Prometheus leaked information to the media that Mayor Queen and D.A. Adrian Chase covered up the murder of Detective Malone. Oliver now faces possible impeachment.

In this week’s episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow we finally got to see how The Legion of Doom musketeers got together. Back in Star City 2016 when Darhk was killed by The Green Arrow, Eobart Thawne arrived at Malcolm Merlin’s apartment with the recently departed. That is where the duo were informed of Thawne’s plan to change reality and where they eagerly jumped aboard Team Reverse Flash.

Legion of Doom Holding Cell 2017:

Jump to present day (2017) and the trio is in-fighting over what to do with their newly gained hostage, Rip Hunter. Merlin wants to try to hypnotize Rip using regression therapy. The League of Assassins didn’t call him The Magician for nothing. Unfortunately Merlin lost his touch when he lost his hand and was unable to gain anything from Rip because Rip’s memories are gone. Darhk then decided to take matters into his own hands and removed one of Rip’s teeth. The tooth he sadistically pulled had a barcode for a safe deposit box in Switzerland.

The last time the box was accessed was January 2025. Merlin and Darhk went after the deposit box while Thawne was noticeably absent.

Central City 2017:

Back on the Waverider, The Legends tried to decipher what the Languid Medallion does and how it communicates the location of the Spear of Destiny. Luckily Martin’s daughter Lily is able to lend the team a helping hand. She is able to get the medallion to open using a short ionic pulse. On the timeship Lily meets the team and pairs the medallion with Gideon.

Ray and Lily celebrated their success but it was short lived when Mick arrived to the party. Mick purposely let it slip that Lily is a time aberration and forces Martin to tell her the truth.

Martin originally didn’t want children because he was afraid to become the father his father was. He tells Lily that at first he didn’t want children but now he knows he needs her and that he wouldn’t want a life without her in it.

The professor then miraculously remembers Eobart Thawne aka Reverse Flash and how he was erased from the timeline when Eddie Thawne killed himself. The team realizes that’s why they didn’t have any information on the speedster. Nate then figures out that Thawne can’t stay in one place for a very long time which is why he is constantly on the move. He is running from something.

Zurich, Switzerland 2025:

Merlin and Darhk take Phil (aka Rip) to Switzerland with them thinking he will be able to safely open the deposit box without causing Darhk to take civilian causalities. Their scheme does not go according to plan and they are forced to leave the bank without safe deposit box 4587.

Legion of Doom Holding Cell 2017:

Merlin and Darhk had another squabble after returning to the holding cell. They of course settled the dispute with a good ‘ole fashioned sword fight, League of Assassins’ style. Rip is able to get the duo to stop fighting when he makes them question Thawne’s motives and whereabouts during their attempted bank heist. Merlin and Darhk then agree to team up and take on the speedster for equal treatment; they head back to the bank this time with the security override code.

When Thawne returned he was only greeted by Rip. His henchmen went rogue. Rip tells Thawne where the pair went and he takes off after them.

Zurich, Switzerland 2025:

Merlin and Darhk are greeted by Thawne after they discover a nuermonic archive (used to store memories) in the safe deposit box. Thawne takes the device and the duo trap him inside the vault with them.

His watch goes off and he begins to panic. Turns out Thawne is running from The Black Flash, a zombie-like speedster, that wants to kill him and can sense the speedforce within him. Merlin and Darhk agree to help Thawne if he treats them as equals from now on. He agrees and the duo set up The Black Flash.

They have Thawne stand still, thus no longer using the speedforce, so the creature can’t detect him. Merlin and Darhk were able to attack and capture the creature. They placed it inside the safe where Rip’s deposit box was but it won’t hold the creature for long so the musketeers make a move and head back to the holding cell. This sequence was quite enjoyable to watch as we got to see this big-bad villain squirm and shake with fear.

Legion of Doom Holding Cell 2017:

Once back at The Legion of Doom’s headquarters, Thawne uploads Rip’s memories and makes some adjustments to them before giving them back to Rip.

New Jersey 1776 – Christmas Day:

Armed with his jostled memories, Rip travels back in time and murders General George Washington.

Next Week:

The Legends go back to 1776 to save General Washington and learn that Rip’s brain has been scrambled by The Legion of Doom

Tuesday’s (January 24^th) episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow finally revealed what happened to Rip Hunter and introduced us to a young George Lucas.

Back in N.Y. when the Waverider was on the verge of exploding, Rip grabbed a piece of wood from the floor board (The Holy Lance/Spear of Destiny) and then used the timedrive on himself in order to reset the timeline and consequentially rearrange his own reality. The spear he left with has the power to rewrite reality permanently. Hence why Darhk, Merlin and Thawne are after it.

Fast forward, well technically reverse back to L.A. 1967 and Rip Hunter is a hot-shot AMERICAN student director named Phil who has George Lucas as his prop master for a film based on Rip Hunter’s life. Rip’s repressed memories are the backbone of the screenplay Phil has written.

The languid medallion that Merlin and Darhk have in their possession is a compass to spear of destiny. The team finds Rip in L.A. but unfortunately for them he doesn’t remember them at all. Rip and George are then attacked by Merlin and Darhk. The Legends are able to save them but can’t prevent Rip/Phil from being arrested.

Therefore, Martin, Sarah and Mick are forced to break him out of jail. This is after Martin takes a break from being Mick’s shrink; Mick divulged to Martin that he has been seeing Snart for some time now, hoping the professor might be able to help him get his brain back. The Legends are able to break Rip out but Merlin and tow aren’t that far behind them. Luckily Ray drives the Waverider to their location and picks them up. This of course causes Rip to pass out as he thought he was making everything up.

Once back on the ship Ray and Nate start to have side effects of an aberration. Turns out good old George Lucas is the aberration. After the attack George dropped out of film school and thus altered the career paths of Nate and Ray. The two with the help of Amaya go get George and convince him to go back to school.

Back on the ship we learn that Mick had an antenna of sorts placed in his skull when he was Chronos. That antenna gathered up black matter that Snart merged with when he blew up. It turns out the antenna was never on and Mick has been seeing Snart because he is questioning his morals. On the other side of the timeship Jax and Sarah learn that Rip gave the spear of destiny to George Lucas, his prop master for the movie.

Of course, Merlin and Darhk have already figured this out and have placed George, Amaya, Nate and Ray inside a garbage compactor where George dumped the spear. The compactor is turned on and The Legends tell George that he has to believe he will make inspiring movies one day in order for Nate and Ray to get their powers back. George screams “I want to be a director!” and Nate/Ray get their powers back. Thus they are able to escape.

When the team is outmanned Phil decides to take on the role of Rip Hunter and fire a gun at Merlin/Darhk. Unfortunately for him it doesn’t work but luckily Gideon does and she fires everything she has at them. The last remaining member or The Legion of Doom musketeers arrives in time to snag Rip before the team can get him back on the Waverider.

Sarah was able to grab the medallion and the fragment of the spear before Thawne captured Rip.

The mid-season finale of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow took us all the way back to 1927 Chicago and introduced us to Al Capone.

1927 Chicago

Damien Darhk and Eobart Thawne (Reverse Flash) set up a meeting with Al Capone. After thwarting Capone’s goons they introduce him to a third member of their crew; Malcom Merlin. The three promise Capone they can find a way to keep his empire afloat and make him even more powerful they he could ever imagine.

Timeship (Inside the Vortex)

Nate and Ray continue their sibling rivalry and breaking things until Sarah, taking on the role of their mother, makes them stop before they do some serious damage to the time ship…again. Shortly after The Legends are informed of an aberration in 1927 Chicago and embark on their next adventure.

1927 Chicago

The Legends learn that Darhk and Thawne are working with Capone. They also learn that Capone is going after Elliot Ness (the man who helps take Capone down). Two police officers nab Ness and take him to a pier where they attach cinder blocks to his ankles and dump him in the river. Vixen uses her amulet to channel dolphin powers and is able to save Ness from death. They bring him back to the ship and later on learn that he was a diversion in a much larger scheme set up by Darhk and crew.

Timeship 1927 Chicago

Gideon begins patching up Ness but informs the team that he needs to stay in the med-bay longer than usual as he has brain damage. Therefore, Nate has to impersonate Ness while Sarah, Martin and Jax go undercover at the club associated with Capone.

Vixen stays behind to babysit Mick who is seeing visions of Leonard Snart; Snart wants to set him straight.

1927 Chicago

The team’s cover is blown when Thawne enters the club and quickly grabs Martin and Sarah. They are brought back to a basement of some sorts and Merlin pays the two a visit. Merlin informs Sarah that he arranged for the Gambit (the boat she and Oliver Queen were on) to be blown up and was the reason they got stranded on the island. He then offers Sarah a deal; the amulet for a rewrite of history. Sarah turns him down.

Martin then comes clean to Sarah about his daughter Lily. Sarah tells Martin that she isn’t real and that they need to fix the aberration. Their conversation is then interrupted by Damien Darhk. He has his men grab Martin and bring him to Thawne.

Timeship 1927 Chicago

Back on the timeship Mick takes charge and tells the team they are going to do things his way. They are going to have to become criminals in order to save Sarah and Martin.

1927 Chicago

Vixen and Mick take a play out of Bonnie and Clyde’s book and steal one of Capone’s trucks.

Thawne stabs Martin with some sort of device as Vixen rescues Sarah. Mick sees Snart again as he is searching for Martin. Snart tells Mick to get out of the game before he is killed.

Nate and Ray find the ledger and meet up with the rest of the team after they find Martin. Capone has his men fire at The Legends but ultimately lets them go.

Timeship 1927 Chicago

Mick sees Snart for a third time. He tells Mick that the self-sacrifice thing isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

While Mick tries to rid his brain of his Snart hallucination, Jax sees that Thawne has impersonated Martin and is ransacking the library for the amulet. Sarah heads into the library and is attacked by Thawne. He escapes after Nate steps in to help Sarah and races down the hallway. Jax shoots him with the speedster weapon only debilitating him for a few seconds.

Thawne then locks the crew in the bay and allows Merlin and crew to enter the Waverider. They ransack the ship and fire at anyone who gets in their way.

Mick and Vixen find a way to get the bay open and team up to catch Thawne as Sarah and Merlin face off. Thawne almost kills Vixen but Mick saves her.

Sarah has a knife to the throat of Merlin and makes a deal with him; she gives him the amulet in exchange for Martin’s location.

1927 Chicago

Martin is at the pier about to get whacked when Sarah comes to his rescue. While Sarah is busy untying Martin, Nate and Ray return Ness to his time. They hand Ness the ledger, tell him that this will help him catch Capone and head back to the timeship.

Timeship 1927 Chicago

Vixen gives Mick booze and a kiss on the cheek as thanks for saving her life.

Sarah decides to not force Martin into giving up Lily. She wants to protect her family (The Legends) and by protecting them she has to protect Lily as she is Martin’s family.

1927 Chicago

Thawne puts the amulet together (it was in two pieces) and reveals it to be a compass. The compass that will lead them to the spear of destiny, a weapon that can be used to rewrite reality but first they need Rip Hunter.

1967 Los Angeles

Rip Hunter is no longer British and is now a big time director. It looks like he is directing a movie about time masters. Where has he been all this time?

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returns Tuesday January 24^th, 2017.  *NOTE THAT LEGENDS HAS NOW BEEN MOVED TO TUESDAYS. IT WILL NO LONGER AIR ON THURSDAY NIGHTS.

Arrow’s 100th episode and the third installment of the 4 night DC crossover event took us back in time and into an alternate universe where many of fan favorite characters resurfaced while our abducted team members were in stasis in alien pods.

The first Arrow resurrection was Laurel Lance aka The Black Canary. In the dream-like hallucination The Dominators have put some of our characters in an alternate world where Oliver Queen and Laurel are engaged and are getting ready for their wedding day. Moments later Oliver is greeted by his parents Moira and Robert Queen. Oliver begins to feel like something is off but can’t put his finger on it.

Sarah then arrives at the Queen estate and reunites with her sister. She notices Laurel’s necklace with a black canary emblem and when she touches it she gets a vision of Laurel as The Black Canary. Sarah feels the pain of losing her sister and hugs her tightly. She also knows something is off but chooses to ignore it.

Back on Earth Cisco vibes the missing team member’s location using an old bow of Oliver’s. He then shows Felicity and crew the device he took from The Dominator’s ship. They attempt to track the mothership with that device but their human tech is overloaded and dissipates. They locate a suitable alternative but the problem is someone else has their hands on it already. That someone being Laura Washington. She has been making herself powerful with the stolen tech so Felicity calls in reinforcements.

Oliver is still dazed and confused in the shared dream he is in with the rest of the team. He runs into Diggle while almost being robbed and learns that he is now The Green Arrow. No wonder he is confused. Oliver once again has flashbacks of his two different lives; the one he is currently living and his actual life back on Earth. Unable to fathom what is going on Oliver heads to the arrow cave and meets Felicity and a very hostile Diggle in his Green Arrow suit.

Diggle grabs Oliver and begins to choke him but quickly releases him once Oliver starts telling John everything he knows about him. Oliver has an epiphany and realizes he is in an alternate universe. How or why he is in that state he doesn’t yet know.

Ray finally comes into the picture when he gets introduced to Sarah. He recognizes her from somewhere but can’t put the puzzle together just yet. He is also having visions of his life back on Earth.

On Earth the reinforcements come in the form of The Flash and Supergirl. They team up with Ragman, Wilddog and Mr. Terrific. Wilddog wants nothing to do with Supergirl or The Flash and their super powers that is until he needs them when he is attacked by Laura Washington. Cue the epic tag team punches from Supergirl and The Flash that incapacitate Laura and allow Mr. Terrific to grab the regulator off of her. Back at the arrow cave, on Earth, Curtis is able to decode The Dominator’s language but not into something he can decipher. Luckily Ragman sees that The Dominators language shares commonalities with the Old Testament. Maybe they can crack the code and communicate with the aliens.

Throughout the episode Thea really seemed to be enjoying this alternate version of her life. She is finally truly happy, that is until she has a flash of Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke killing her mother. However, like Sarah, she chooses to ignore that vision and live in the moment while her brother (Oliver) and Diggle start to put together the puzzle.

John shows Oliver a picture he drew of The Dominators and Oliver is able to figure out how this universe works. He realizes that The Dominators will push back at anything they try to do to get out of the mind game being played. Cue Slade Wilson’s entrance.

Oliver and Diggle battle Slade but are quickly losing the fight as they are not armed. Luckily Sarah arrives and kills Deathstroke much to her own surprise. Oliver and John explain the fact that they are in a shared hallucination to Sarah and she remembers them being abducted. They then realize the only way out of the machine is to head to the Smoak Technologies building; the only symbol representing their life back on Earth.

Tommy Merlyn’s (Oliver’s childhood best friend) absence is explained by Malcolm Merlyn (his father). He is working long shifts at a hospital in Chicago where he is a doctor aka Chicago Med. While this is going on Ray and Felicity, who are engaged in this dream, run into Sarah. Sarah pulls Ray away and talks to him about their situation. He begins to remember his life and jumps on board to exit this lucid dream.

Oliver tearfully hugs his parents’ goodbye and goes to get Thea. She doesn’t want to leave because this life is too good. Her parents are alive. Laurel is alive. She can’t lose her family again. Oliver is forced to leave her behind. He tells Thea he loves her and wants her to be happy with tears in his eyes. I’m surprised he didn’t take her against her will. He really is changing.

Oliver and the team begin their trek to Smoak Technologies but are stopped when Oliver is shot with an arrow by Malcolm Merlyn when they try to escape. He is not alone. Some of the toughest villains Team Arrow has ever faced surround them. Speedy (Thea Queen) rejoins the group and they battle Deathstroke, Damien Darhk, H.I.V.E. members and Merlyn.

An action packed sequence leads to a final shot where Ollie shoots Deathstroke in the eye with an arrow. All the villains are defeated. However, that isn’t the last of the challenges the team must face to escape. Laurel comes running out of the estate hoping to stop them all, especially Oliver, from leaving. Sarah tries to explain to her sister (Laurel) that they have to leave. She doesn’t want to hear it and continues to beg Ollie to stay. He tells Laurel that she deserves better, that he is not the man she fell in love with and leaves. Poor Laurel is left on the night of her wedding.

An injured John and crew, minus Oliver, walk through the portal to get back on the mothership. Oliver turns back a final time and is greeted by important figures from his past, both dead and alive. Via holograms we get to see Tommy, Roy Harper (Arsenal), Robert Queen, Moira Queen, Felicity and Laurel all telling Oliver not to give up.

Moments later the team wakes up and exit their pods. Shortly after they learn that they are in somewhere in outer space. They try to navigate the alien aircraft in an attempt to escape and run into Dominators. Oliver grabs a nearby laser gun and shoots them. They continue to navigate the mothership until they find escape pods and take one. Thea figures out how to make it take off and the pod heads out into the galaxy.

However, they are not alone. The Dominators follow them in other pods and fire at them. Luckily the Waverider arrives in time to snag them and save them.

Once on the Waverider they are introduced to Nate Heywood aka Citizen Steel and Gideon. Ray has Gideon translate something The Dominators said back on the ship; the weapon is almost complete. Gideon is unable to determine what the weapon is but tracks The Dominator mothership heading directly for Earth.

What’s to come in the final installment of the crossover:

Barry has to surrender himself and if he does The Dominators will leave the Earth in peace.

An epic battle ensues and Mick is saved by geeks aka Felicity and Cisco.

Back to the Wild West we go! This week’s episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow was full of gun-slinging outlaws and Jonah Hex. The episode kicked off with yet another time pirate creating another abomination. Serious question. Where do all these guys keep coming from?

Liberty, Colorado 1874

Any who. Said time pirate arrived in 1874 Liberty, Colorado looking for a powerful type of ore. The time pirate’s quest was quickly cut short as he was discovered by a band of outlaws. Hoping to save his skin he tells the outlaws about the ore being rare and powerful. He shows them where the ore is by using a futuristic tracking device and tries to make a deal with the outlaws. Unfortunately for him he is shot and killed. The outlaws scoop up his device and take the ore for themselves.

Timeship Inside The Vortex

Back on the timeship Martin is experiencing weird headaches as the team starts investigating speedsters and the amulet they took off Darkh. Nate is tasked with researching the amulet but comes up empty. Shortly after the timeseismograph goes off and the team, minus Martin, heads to Liberty, Colorado 1874.

When the team arrives they stumble upon Jonah Hex who is about to be hanged. Nate decides to go all Citizen Steel to save him. As he is deflecting bullets, Sarah shoots Hex down and they all head back to the timeship.

Back on the ship Hex learns that Rip is gone, Sarah is now the captain and she’s into chicks. Shortly after Nate reveals to the team that the world has changed. Turnbull, the man who captured Hex, owns the west and the team has to join forces with Hex to stop him.

Mick goes into the saloon owned by Turnbull to set it on fire. Sarah sent Amaya in after him to make sure he doesn’t shoot anyone until he is outside. While this is going on Nate, Ray and Jax went undercover as tax collectors to find out how Turnbull became the leader of the west. They discover he is collecting ore in the mines. Just as quickly as they discover this information they run into some of Turnbull’s goons. They get into a fist fight with them and after their victory, steal their clothing to go undercover as outlaws. Back at the saloon Sarah tries to pry information from Hex on why he has a vendetta with Turnbull. He won’t budge on the issue. Doesn’t want to talk to no woman ‘bout his issues. Inside the saloon Mick finally met Turnbull and decided it would be a good idea to burn his money right in front of him.

On the timeship Martin is still trying to get a handle on his headaches and has Gideon perform another neurological scan. Gideon tells Martin that physiologically there is nothing wrong with him. His mental well-being may be another story. He is seeing visions of a young girl running.

Ray, Jax and Nate reach the outlaw camp and head into the mine to find the ore. Turns out the ore is actually dwarf star. The same stuff Ray used to power his atom suit. Ray explains to Nate and Jax that there is enough energy there to power the entire Wild West or blow it up. They discover the time pirate’s device as well and go back to get the rest of the team.

At the saloon Mick and Turnbull really hit it off. They are having a grand ole time instead of fighting like they are supposed to. This causes Jonah to go rogue and come after Turnbull to collect his bounty. The whole saloon pulls guns on Hex. Luckily Sarah comes just in time and whips Turnbull’s gun out of his hand saving Hex from his exploding bullet made from dwarf star. Jonah, Sarah, Amaya and Mick are then forced to go on the defense. Mick, of course, is eating up every minute of it as Ray, Nate and Jax arrive in time to dodge dwarf star bullets and run back to the ship with the rest of the team. Mick not wanting the party to stop, goes on the offense and shoots at Turnbull or at least tries to but he runs out of bullets. Nate is forced to go Citizen Steel to save Mick but the dwarf star bullet is able to penetrate his steel core and he gets shot.

The team gets Nate back to the ship and get to work fixing him. Sarah blames Hex for getting shot and offers him an ultimatum. Either he talks or she kicks his ass. Hex tells Sarah he has been chasing Turnbull for 8 years. Ever since Calvert, Oklahoma. The town that Rip left behind.

Turns out Turnbull gave him is scar and gutted every man, woman and child in the town after Rip left. Then locked them in a church and set it on fire. Hex was the only one able to escape. Sarah feels for Hex as she has her own vendetta with Darhk and says she will still help Hex get Turnbull.

Jax confronts his other half, Martin, about his headaches/visions. Martin sees more visions of the woman in front of Jax and is forced to come clean. He doesn’t know who she is but feels like he knows her. Martin also isn’t sure why he is getting the visions.

The other soon-to-be duo, Amaya and Mick, try to have a heart to heart. Well she tries to have a heart to heart with Mick but he keeps pushing her away and goes back to pulverizing his punching bag.

Ray and Nate’s bromance continued on the timeship. Ray gave Nate a pep talk and said “there is no bravery without fear”. That conversation triggered something in Ray and he was able to figure out how Turnbull is going to make his own country. Ray tells the team that Turnbull will use the railroad and use the dwarf star to close summit pass. Thus closing the west off from the rest of the country. Ray, Jax and Nate head out to stop the train while the rest of the team and Hex find Turnbull.

Nate and crew find the locomotive. Wanting to play the hero again Nate decides he is going to stop the moving locomotive filled with Dwarf Star, ya know the one thing that can penetrate his steel abilities and render him a vulnerable human, by going Citizen Steel. Nate steels up and struggles but eventually stops the train. It was then up to the rest of the crew to seal up the mine with the dwarf star.

Hex and Sarah drew the attention of the outlaws while Mick and Amaya planted dynamite inside the mine. Mick and Amaya get into a fight with a few leftover outlaws. Not wanting to stop the beat down Mick puts himself in danger of getting killed.  Amaya tells him to put the animal away which makes him stop and they escape. After dealing with the first group of outlaws Sarah came up with a plan to get close to Turnbull. She disguises herself as man, only with a bandanna across her face lol, and brings Hex all tied up right to him. Hex and Sarah get Turnbull by himself and that’s when Hex unlocks himself. He beats up Turnbull but doesn’t kill him.

The team and Hex head back to the timeship to celebrate yet another victory. Hex and Sarah share a drink. He then told Sarah that he decided to hand over Turnbull to the authorities and collect his bounty instead of gutting him.

Amaya tried again with Mick. This time using a fire metaphor. Smart move because it got his attention. She then went on to tell him not to deny the animal but not to let it control him and offered to help him control it.

Martin is still dealing with his visions. Jax offered up the idea that the memories may be resurfacing because of the interaction Martin had with his younger self. Martin tells Jax that he loves the woman in the visions. Did he somehow alter the timeline? Will Clarissa be home when he gets back or did something happen between the two of them? Is this his daughter???

Ray continued to strengthen his bromance with Nate and made him the super suit he drew earlier in the episode. As the two are gushing over it Sarah enters the room and tell them that their friends back in 2016 need their help. The crossover is coming!!!!!!
