I’m gonna guess that Ariana Grande saw the slander for her latest single (and visual for) “7 Rings,” mainly because it blatantly takes from both Soulja Boy and 2 Chainz. Perhaps as a way to save face, 2 Chainz is now on the remix to the song. So there’s that.

Mac Miller is back and has officially announced that he is dropping a new album!

On Thursday (Jul 12), Miller took to Instagram to post the news that his new album, Swimming, is being released in three weeks.

The post which is an animated short of a deep sea diver features a snippet of new music from the eclectic emcee with the caption, “Swimming. August 3rd.”

Mac Miller has been quiet for the past few years when it comes to full projects, but he did bless fans with three new songs back in May including “Small Worlds,” “Buttons,” and “Programs.”

Swimming drops just a few months after the rapper endured a public breakup with longtime girlfriend Ariana Grande, many fans are speculating that the lyrics to the snippet are about her, as Miller grimly sings:

“My regrets look just like texts I shouldn’t send/ And I got neighbors that move like strangers/ We could be friends/ I just need a way out of my end.”

Although Miller has neither confirmed nor denied the theory, fans believe that his lyrics are a response to Grande’s song “Raindrops” which is also rumored to be about Miller.

In May, Grande took to her Instagram to express her love for Miller but also explain that the two were better off as friends, revealing that the split was amicable.

“Hi! This is one of my best friends in the whole world and favorite people on the planet Malcolm McCormick I respect and adore him endlessly and am grateful to have him in my life in and form, at all times regardless of how our relationship changes or what the universe holds for each of us!”

Swimming is set to drop August 3rd.

UPDATE: So, we have a new visual for “Bed” below, which was directed by Hype Williams and/or Alex Loucas and sees appearances from Odell Beckham, Jr. and Brad Wing (both from the New York Giants). I say and/or because — according to Minaj — each director edited a separate video. So, I guess that means another one will surface soon.

Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande cooked up a couple of surefire hit records: one of them, titled “The Light Is Coming,” is set to appear on Grande’s forthcoming album Sweetener. The other, “Bed,” will be on Nicki’s Queen project, out August 10th — and we get to enjoy that track today (below).

After the bombing at the end of an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester several days ago that resulted in 22 dead and more injured, there has been a mix of responses in support of not only the victims and their families but also of the singer herself. With Grande saying that she will be returning to Manchester one day to give a benefit concert and multiple performers posting the link to the JustGiving page, there has been reportedly more than $2.2 million that has been donated so far. As for the singer, her boyfriend Mac Miller has cancelled his immediate shows so that he may be there for her as she grieves. In addition, a letter has gone viral where a father of teenage daughters and big fans of Grande urges her not to blame herself and to take as much time as she needs.

Greater Manchester Police Chief Constable Ian Hopkins told reporters,”We have been treating this as a terrorist incident.” Other law enforcement officials have stated that there have been two explosions during Grande’s concert.

The explosion happened outside, naturally triggering extreme chaos inside the venue for the concertgoers. Twitter user @hannawwh caught the incident on video as it happened.

Ariana Grande and the various other performers were reportedly unharmed; meanwhile a rep told fans “Ariana is okay,” and “We are further investigating what happened.”

Nicki Minaj was one of the first celebrities to extend condolences to those affected by the tragedy, while also doing so for her friend and frequent collaborator Ariana.
