Kendrick Lamar Drops Crazy New Visual For “Humble” [WATCH]

Earlier today, reports speculated that a new Kendrick Lamar track (titled “Humble”) was headed to the surface sometime before day’s end; thankfully, that rumor turned out to be true (and more). Here lies a new Dave Meyers-directed visual for the hard-hitting cut, which features plenty of jarring and thought-provoking imagery — including Kendrick as a priest, roped heads on fire, ‘Last Supper’ and ‘Grey Poupon’ reenactments…each scene feels packed with layers that will take multiple views to fully decipher. Then there’s the actual song, which follows the trail created by “The Heart Part 4” with sharp messages for unnamed peers:

Who dat n***a thinkin’ that he frontin’ on man, man
Get the f*** off my stage, I’m the sandman
Get the f*** off my d***, that ain’t right
I make a play f***ing up your whole life
I’m so f***in’ sick and tired of the Photoshop
Show me somethin’ natural like afro on Richard Pryor
Show me somethin’ natural like ass with some stretchmarks
Still will take you down right on your mama’s couch in Polo socks, ayy
This s*** way too crazy, ayy, you do not amaze me, ayy
I blew cool from AC, ayy, Obama just paged me, ayy
I don’t fabricate it, ayy, most of y’all be fakin’, ayy
I stay modest ’bout it, ayy, she elaborate it, ayy
This that Grey Poupon, that Evian, that Ted Talk, ayy
Watch my soul speak, you let the meds talk, ayy
If I kill a n***a, it won’t be the alcohol, ayy
I’m the realest n***a after all, b***h be humble

As far as who produced the record, the reports were part correct: in addition to Mike WiLL Made-It, Nathan K. Scherrer, Dave Free and Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith all make contributions to the fiery release.

Check out “Humble” below. Kendrick’s new album (still yet-to-be-named) is expected to drop April 7th.
