What is your name and what city do you rep?
“It’s ya boy Jordann Dwayne and I’m from Missouri city, or Houston Texas.
Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?
“I have a few new singles on all streaming platforms, a few spoken word vibes and a few higher energy tracks. What inspires me to create stuff like that is just taking the energy from the day. Not every day is a go get hype in the studio day, sometimes you gotta let that neutral calm vibe out!”
What is unique about you and your music?
“My music is vulnerable. I don’t speak on shooting nobody or none of that. I love that kind of music don’t get me wrong, but I’m gravitating to a higher realm. A lot of music these days, folks don’t like to say how they really feel, they just come with the HARD. I’m coming with the in between that makes you slow down an realize you haven’t even visited these emotions in a while.”
What shaped your music?
“Growth. Pain. Knowledge. Understanding myself!”
Tell us about your new book “Ambition Of A King: Secrets”
“So I’ve always wanted to write a book, but never had time. Then this epidemic hit and the lock down began. I’ve been inspired to always help others so it dawned on me to write a book to help others motivate themselves in these dark times. Ambition of A King: Success Secrets, is literally just a light for those looking for it. It’s a mix of stories, theories & principals which built me to who I am today.”
What inspires you to write music?
“Everything honestly. Good days and bad days. Struggles and happiness. I write more than I record, but I record daily. Writing is my release.”
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
“I have a jewelry business so I’m usually fully engaged in that during the day. I have to over see the company from creative quality to actually making sure my customers are happy. I have a passion for jewelry, so being able to help others ideas come to life is an amazing outlet.”
How did you get involved in the jewelry business?
“Spending too much on jewelry! I had a few friends always asking to buy my stuff and it finally hit me like, man. I’m about to become a jeweler!”
Happiness to you is…
“Understanding nothing is constant. To move is to be alive, to be alive and appreciate that is happiness.”
“It’s going to be A RECORD. Everything is produced by major league beats, a big homie of mine who has been helping me shape my career. He is super talented with creating records so I’m more than excited for this project to finish up!”Where do we find you music / music projects?
“The world is yours if you believe it is! See you at the top!”
