DJ Kid is one of the hottest DJ’s in the world that is with the independent label Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment. Previously toured with Charlotte native Da Baby, we can tell that Kid’s vibe is from the West Coast. During Grammy weekend, he has celebrated by producing the track “Intro” with over 500,000 streams from Da Baby’s ‘Kirk’ album and received a plaque in his honor. We have caught up with the Bay producer and discussed his latest alkaline water he had invented called K20, his memorable moment from him touring and more.
RESPECT.: What was your favorite city that you like to DJ while you were on tour?
I would say LA because I am a water person. Coming from the Bay area, I got that vibe.
RESPECT.: How did you get the name DJ Kid? Everyone has that unique name.
A King never stops developing.
RESPECT.: What made you start djing?
At first, I was doing it for the money. When I found out it was my craft, I let it take over and became better and better each day.
RESPECT.: What was your most memorable moment being around Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment?
By trusting in me and having to rock out the crowd.
RESPECT.: Define the K20 water.
K20 alkaline water. Drink better and it is healthy.
