Chicago staple DJ Pharris is delivering his debut lead single “Boss” feat. G. Herbo and Young Dolph with the video to match. In addition, he is launching his new label TCMG which has in partnership with Entertainment One (eOne).
“Boss” was produced by 3x’s Grammy Award-Winning producer Mano of Treated Crew (The Weeknd, Kanye West, Big Sean) and fans will be able to recognize the nod to Project Pat on the track.
As stated, Pharris recently launched new label TCMG (This Chicago Music Group) to feature major local artists and connect them with top tier artists from across the U.S. to collaborate and offer a fresh perspective on the Chicago music scene. According to Pharris, his goal and mission is “to create a label and a strong team with seasoned vet Rita Lee to give back and grow our city, in our city, for our city #ThisChicago.”
A living legend in the Chicago music industry, DJ Pharris began his professional career at Chicago’s WBMX radio station playing house music. Pharris was featured on Kanye West’s “Way Too Cold,” and co-produced Future’s “Parachute” feat. R Kelly and West’s “Fade.” When Pharris isn’t on air he acts on the Showtime’s hit series ‘The Chi‘, and was previously inducted into the Frankie Knuckles Dj Hall Of Fame. Having had his radio show syndicated on over 48 stations, Pharris has his finger on the pulse of Chicago.
