When Queen Naija first came on the scene, we thought she was either Nicki Minaj or Cardi B when the crowd stampede onto her in the New York streets. I had first discovered her music when a friend played her song “Medicine” came on Pandora. When we got a dose of Naijas’ “medicine,” I knew that she will be a hit. With her songwriting skills with the voice to match, there is no comparison that she will step on the scene so effortlessly. The “Bad Boy” singer recently released her five track self-track EP, Queen Naija. With the single, “Karma,” it spoke something so real to me because as you all know karma is real but the words to the single put so much emotion that you can feel the vibes but from a different perspective.
With her “Medicine” visual, you can see that Naija is feeling her intuition about her boyfriend talking to other females by coming home late. So she takes it in her hands to where she gives him a dose of his own medicine by doing the same thing he is doing to her. She gets revenge by having him watch what she does to the other man by not faking it with the tape across his lips that reads MEDICINE. She hit him where it hurts.
She recently was on The Birth of Queen Naija sold out 33 tour date. Queen Naija made some accomplishments as being a breakout artist last year. The single “Medicine” exceeded over 30 million in streams and still counting. Ever since she brought a healthy baby into this world, we hope to hear from the “War Cry” singer new music this year along with an album.
