With Kentucky being a state mostly known for it’s strong affinity for sports, college basketball in particular, it could be easy to think that music could be seen as an afterthought. Nothing could be further from the truth, though. As in other places in the south, Kentucky has a deep love for music, it’s just that this is a state driven by stars. With many of them being future NBA stars that stroll through UK and UofL, that’s how the focus has seem guided. Looking to break through as Maysville’s favorite son, Vegg appears in the RESPECT. Magazine pages for the first time via his impressive new EP, Organic Veggies.
Breaking through with a melodic, yet surprisingly full soundtrack provided fully by producer Fargo Mula, Vegg uses the opportunity to absolutely float over each of the five tracks. Standouts include, “Plug” and “Work“, a wildly catchy track with a consistent hi-hat that guides you through the short, but sweet track. With only 5 songs on the project, Organic Veggies serves as a sweet appetizer for what’s to come from the Southern native.
Check out, Organic Veggies below and be sure to keep an eye on Vegg.
