Show of hands, how many readers have seen the movie Drumline? You know, the one where Nick Cannon smacks the chubby cat from Morris Brown for taking it upon himself to use his drums. Yeah, that movie. Although the theatrics and teenage hormones at times overshadow the overall theme from the movie, they did get one thing spot on. Marching Bands are a HUGE deal at historically black colleges, or HBCU’s as they’re affectionately known. Wisconsin native, Kushie Jackson pays homage to this exact notion in the appealing new visuals for, “Fraction.”
Checking in off of Jackson’s infectious project, Stay Gold, “Fraction,” is a straight to the point track that highlights Jackson’s knack for catchy hooks, “Bands on me, right now like The Classic,” as well as his attention to details visually. Throughout the video, special effects perfectly synchronize with his cadences, as different color smoke bombs light up the visual.
With a visual like this to match the oozing potential that Jackson showcased on the project, it won’t be long before the Wisconsin native breaks through as an artist to watch.
Check out the visuals for, “Fraction” below and be sure to stay hip to Kushie Jackson, who’s set to release another project before the end of January.
