Artistry is a complex situation. While the positives and the material accomplishments are well documented, there’s also a history of our greatest creators going through personal struggles of who the are are, who they were and who they want to be.
Although it’s a tough battle, sometimes you come out of the trenches a better artist. Las Vegas native Sebastian Reynoso, formerly known as strictly a producer by the name Locks, is the perfect example of this. The 17-year-old was known as a prolific producer in Sin City, but those in the know were aware of Sebastian’s ability to sing, which he intriguingly kept to himself–only making it that much more gravitating.
Deciding to come out of the woods with a new name and image, Sebastian sets out to prove he’s more than just a producer with his Azul Wynter-produced debut, “Bold.” Set to the backdrop of some hypnotizing keys and thumping bass kicks, Reynoso absolutely skates over the beat with perfectly pitched vocals and a catchy chorus that will have you in the club singing along like you’ve been a fan forever.
Check out the single, “Bold” and be sure to keep an eye on Sebastian, who’s already capped 17,000 plays on Soundcloud.
