Miguel has been on fire recently, delivering new singles “Shockandawe” and the Travis Scott-assisted “Sky Walker.” Now, fans following the singer got a glimpse of his new album (via social media, above), titled War & Leisure, as well as a new visual for “Told You So”:
He briefly explained the project’s meaning to GQ (sort of):
There’s a time and a place for everything and right now that eroticism doesn’t feel timely… My mind is focused on different energy. How many conversations have you had in the past month? I could count mine on one hand. We’re connected through technology, but it’s just a Band-Aid on a broken bone.
I love contrast, so sonically it’ll be my most upbeat album yet.
