It’s been about a year since Atlanta super-producer Mike WiLL Made-It announced the sequel to 2014’s Ransom; since then, we’ve only heard one (very dope) single in the form of the Rihanna-assisted “Nothing Is Promised“. Now, Mike WiLL is ready to heat up the streets with his latest (presumed) album cut titled “Gucci On My”, which features assistance from fellow ATLiens Migos and 21 Savage alongside Compton star YG.
Simply put, it’s hard not to bop your head to the track, which gives off a Zaytoven vibe (ie. laid back vibes) while the aforementioned artists trade verses about clothes, money and women — even YG’s artist Kamaiyah joins in on the fun with a couple of bars just for kicks. Even the repetitive, catchy chorus is guaranteed to remain stuck in your head for the rest of the day upon initial listen:
Gucci on my shirt, Gucci on my h***, n***a
Rollie bust down, drippin’ on my clothes, n***a…
Listen to “Gucci On My” below via Apple Music and Spotify. As far as Ransom 2, there’s still no concrete release date.
