If by any chance you may have been holding on to this notion that super producer Mike Will Made-It was pumpfaking with the release of Ransom 2, you might want to let that go now. It’s coming and his new single, featuring Rihanna is the proof.
If you really pay attention to Rihanna, “Nothing Is Promised” might sound a bit familiar to you, as a leaked clip from an apparent studio session hit the ‘net back when the “Kiss It Better” singer first announced her ANTI album, which was (possibly) called R8 at the time.
On this one, Rihanna really gets in her bag, going in a direction that’s a little more trappy, with lines like “I keep a duffle bag on me like Tity Boi and Dolla!”, not to mention she goes in about her appreciation for the money and how she’s going to ball out until the end, because nothing is promised, as the title suggests.
While you wait for Ransom 2, give “Nothing Is Promised” a few spins today. If you listen closely, you can even hear Future on this one.
