Notoriously outspoken hip-hop legend Kanye West just won’t let his beef with Taylor Swift die out. During a show at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville last Saturday, the 39 year old emcee performed his controversial “Famous” track three times in a row, which at one point even prompted the crowd to start chanting “F**k Taylor Swift”. After delivering the contentious lyrics “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/why? I made that b**ch famous”, he began one of his infamous rants on stage, declaring that “I need to hear that loud in Nashville”. He continued. “So many people told me, ‘You’ve got to take that line out of the song. You got to play it safe, but this is what rap music is. This is what art is. Saying how you feel. And this song is how I feel.”
West clearly isn’t about to retreat from his seven year long feud with the country star turned pop sensation, which began during the 2009 MTV Music Video Awards when he infamously crashed her acceptance speech. And just when we thought the two would finally put their differences aside, two months ago Kim Kardashian released footage that calls Taylor’s claims that she never approved of the “Famous” lyrics into question. While Taylor has since released a post on Instagram defending herself, she has yet to make a public comment on the matter.
