A track with La Flame and La Flare in 2016? “No way it could actually happen!” said no one ever.
Last month, Travis Scott and Gucci Mane (respectively Scott as “La Flame” and Gucci as “La Flare”) snapped a few pics together. The picture above landed on Gucci Mane’s Instagram, while another photo with both rappers in similar poses landed on Scott’s IG account.
Naturally, fans of both artists were taunted with the idea of a collaboration between Gucci and Travis. For weeks, they both kept the lid on tight regarding anything of the sort. Today is a new day, and we have all been blessed with an actual track featuring both rappers titled “Last Time.”
La Flame and La Flare body the trap-infused production by Zaytoven.
Gucci takes his sobriety serious as he once again raps about his past drug usage and silly Internet rumors of him being a clone. Scott finesses his usual auto-tune flair on the hook rapping, “Last time I took drugs, I just took half of it.”
Hopefully this won’t be the last time we hear a collaboration with both artists. The collab will land on Gucci’s upcoming #Woptober project, while we all (anxiously) wait for Scott’s sophomore effort Birds in The Trap Sing McKnight. Listen to the fiery new track below.
