Yes, you’re definitely reading that headline right. Tyga and the Migos are the newest members of Kanye West‘s G.O.O.D. Music collective.
‘Ye made the announcement last night during a livestream of his Yeezy Season 4 fashion show, which happened to supplement the New York Fashion Show on Wednesday.
In addition to the world premiere of Yeezy Season 4, Highline Ballroom hosted a G.O.O.D. Music pop-up show. The label’s roster, including G.O.O.D. Music’s president, Pusha T, Desiigner, and Teyana Taylor, were also in attendance.
Although this seems like a total left-field move for G.O.O.D. Music, Tyga being the label’s newest signee makes sense once you consider his personal and professional connections with Kanye.
Naturally, we’re all aware of his connections to Kylie Jenner and the rest of the Kardashian clan; however, his professional connection to Kanye stems from Kanye executive producing Tyga’s 2015 album, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty.
Many have speculated how Tyga being signed to G.O.O.D. is possible since he’s still listed as an artist on the official Young Money and Cash Money websites. Watch a short clip of Kanye making the announcement below.

Just to set the record straight, Atlanta rap group the Migos aren’t signed to G.O.O.D. as artists. They are signed to G.O.O.D. under a management deal; while their main label Quality Control still fits the bill and Lyor Cohen‘s 300 Entertainment handles distribution.
