I first checked out Carteret, New Jersey lyricist Louii Lyfe at The Next Big Showcase, an indie hip hop music showcase that I hosted in Secaucus, New Jersey.
Alongside Cliff-Po and DJ Tarzan, hosts of the Henny and Redbull Podcast, I hosted the event that boasted close to 100 artists who displayed pure talent and a pure drive to succeed. But genuinely, Louiilyfe stood out because of his delivery, diction and his stage presence.
In a world where beats and slurring of words has become a fad, it was refreshing to hear a brotha who actually had something to say and had the balance of beats and command of a room all in one setting.
So who is Louiilyfe?
“I always liked music,” he told RESPECT MAG by phone. “I ran into the right time and the right people, and I ended up Louie everything. I love Louis Vuitton, I like that brand. My nickname originally started with Life, because I’m the life of the party, I bring life outta people, I feel that my life and the energy that I bring is beyond what I can even speak about.”
Still new to the music game, Louii always admired the rap game and decided to take his rap craft seriously after high school and he’s looking for the right opportunity to shine. His most recent single, King Kong is a pretty decent track.
