Earlier this month, rumors began circulating suggesting the British superstar was the front runner among many talented acts to perform during the half-time show. While the rumors may have had some truth to them, all hope was dashed when Adele addressed the situation with a less than welcomed response.
“First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl,” Adele said (Billboard). “I mean, come on, that show is not about music. And I don’t really… I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no. I’m sorry. Maybe next time, for my next album, because I’m going to do a dance album next time. So maybe I’ll do it then.”

Unfortunately for fans Adele will not be saying “Hello” to which ever city is the winning bid to host Super Bowl 51. However, on the bright side fans can relish in the knowledge that Adele is planning another album, almost a year after the release of her third studio album 25.
There has been no word on who might replace Adele at next years Super Bowl half-time performance, but its only a matter of time before the NFL fills that vacancy.
