Lil Yachty has been recently dropping random tracks to hype his long awaited follow up mixtape to Lil Boat. Yachty returns to the scene with his first tape since signing with Coack K‘s Quality Control records. Summer Songs 2 is a 14-track epic that continues to validate Yachty’s meteroic rise. Lil Boat sticks to his guns on the record and it pays off in a big way.
Yachty continues to refine his patented “Bubble Gum Trap” sound and on this new tape you can really tell that this cat is progressing. Lyrically, Lil Yachty is continuing to prove to doubters that he has the ability to spit bars.
I’m not saying this kid is Kendrick on the mic, but the lyrical content continues to improve. Records like “For Hot 97” and “Up Next 3” are some good examples of this.
Yachty even gets a feature with fellow QC artist , Offset, on another highlight on the album “Dipset.”
Last week, Yachty also announced that he would be headlining his first tour called “The Boat Show Tour.” Which if you haven’t been able to hit up a Lil boat show, I highly recommend checking out the dates bellow to see when the tour stops in your town.
