Lil Durk is doing a great job at getting ready for his new album, Lil Durk 2x. He has released five singles from the album which is set to be released on Friday, July 22nd. Not to mention, a couple days ago he released a video for the single, “Money Walk” featuring Yo Gotti.
The video features Lil Durk and Yo Gotti rapping about the expensive cuban links and “Rollies” they are shown sporting throughout the video. It seems that all a video needs now a days are some cute girls, expensive ice, and a foreign car. This is exactly what you get in this video. Nothing too over the top for Lil Durk. This is enough stunting for the self proclaimed trapper.
There is one more aspect to the video that added a little flavor of its own. Lil Durk is clearly too cool to allow more movement than the occasional jig and dab. Instinctively, there is an unknown character in the video doing the money walk, so I’m assuming, for the two artists. At first, I thought it was a little strange, but after watching more and more, it was still strange. The video could have done without the choreography if you ask me. But I guess if you are rapping about some sort of dance, there should be some in the video right?
Regardless of how awkward the money walk was, it still doesn’t take away from the fact that the song is a straight banger. The anticipation for the album is still stronger than ever, considering this is the follow up of his mix tape 300 Days and 300 Nights. Make sure to check out the video below, and don’t sleep on his new album!
