After announcing his sophomore album, Still Krazy which is due for release in June 2016, YG is set to drop a new single from the upcoming record called, “Why You Always Hatin’?” The track will be exclusively released on OVO Radio on May 21st at 6pm PST/9pm EST. The album and single will no doubt be great news for the rapper’s fans who have been waiting for new material from him since he dropped, “F**k Donald Trump” last month.
YG gave us his debut album, My Krazy Life back in March 2014 which was certified gold. The rapper made a big impact with the record hitting the Billboard charts at number one. The rapper made a name for himself with tracks such as “Who Do You Love?” featuring Drake which dominated 2014. The year before that he also dropped, “My N***as,” featuring Jeezy and Rich Homie Quan which went platinum.
Along with the new album, the Compton rapper is also set to go on his Still Krazy Promotional Tour, a three-week solo headlining tour of the US and Europe that will lead right up to the album’s in-store arrival. The tour will start on June 3rd, at the Powerhouse 2016 concert at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. YG will also be joining G-Eazy and Logic on June 28th to open The Endless Summer Tour in Dallas at the Gexa Energy Pavilion.
You may remember that the “Left, Right” rapper overcame a near death experience last year in June when he was shot at a recording studio in Studio City, California. In an interview with Billboard, the rapper described it as, “A little incident,” which resulted in three wounds. YG was back in the studio the following day. Looking back on it, he said, “I’m hard to kill.”
