There has been speculation that Gucci Mane was going to be released from prison some time soon. But the speculation have been laid to rest today because Gucci is now free!
Gucci has been incarcerated since May of 2014 after pleading guilty to fire arm possession and being sentenced to 39 months in a Georgia prison.
Since his arrest the “Free Gucci” movement has been alive and active. There has been many artists who have made songs paying homage to Gucci. Outside of just rappers, fans have also rooted for his release. Some have made clothing and some have went as far as to replicating his iconic ice cream cone tattoo on his face.

Gucci is well known and respected through the world for his trap music as well as for his way of helping pave ways for new artist. The self proclaimed “Trap God” is just that. He is the God of the trap music and receives the respect that he deserves as such. Gucci was and is still a legend. This is not only a big day for Atlanta but a big day for the rap community entirely.
While being incarcerated he put out a arsenal of music, including over 15 projects in that time period. One can only be anxious to see what he produces now that he is once again, a free man.
