If you think that Beyoncé and Jay Z have had us all wrapped around their little fingers with the singers recent LEMONADE release, well then you are probably right. After creating an earthquake with the album, close sources of Page Six have reported that the couple are set to drop a new joint album that they have recorded in secret.
The rumors of Hov’s infidelity have been running rife since Bey dropped her album exclusively through Tidal. But the Carters are allegedly set to give us some clarity through a collaborative record which will also be released through Jay’s music streaming service. The source told Page Six:
“Jay and Beyoncé were never going to do an interview to address all the questions that came up after ‘Lemonade.’ It’s more their style to respond through music.”
Beyoncé has done well to keep us guessing through her songs. With her track, “Sorry,” she has had us all wondering who “Becky” is from the line, “He better call Becky with the good hair.” Rita Ora and Rachel Roy were both accused of being the woman Jay is alleged to have had an affair with. Both ladies were forced to tell the world that they weren’t “Becky.”
Earlier this month, rumors had also emerged that Jay Z was creating an album to counter LEMONADE. Sources told US Weekly:
“Jay is working on an album telling his side of things.”
With so many rumors flying around, it is difficult to tell what the truth is. We can’t forget that Queen B is currently well into her Formation World Tour. At the same we can’t deny how dope it would be to see these two heavyweights do a full album together. Whilst we’ve have seen Beyoncé and Jay Z collaborate on a few tracks together, a joint record would most definitely tip the scale for the music world.
