That’s right ladies and gentleman, director Paul Greengrass has done it once again. Jason Bourne is back in action and looking better than ever! Today the trailer for the new Jason Bourne movie dropped. The trailer starts off with the same clip we caught during Super Bowl 50 and then jumps into some nostalgic clips from The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Ultimatum.
9 years after the Bourne Ultimatum was released Matt Damon will reprise this iconic role. Julia Stiles is also returning to the series, reprising her role as Nicky Parsons. Rising star Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina, The Danish Girl) will also be starring in the film alongside Tommy Lee Jones. Her role TBD. According to IMDB.com, Jeremy Renner’s character, Aaron Cross (The Bourne Legacy), will not be in this new Bourne film, but he will have his sequel after this film is released.
The plot of this film is still unknown at the moment but from the trailer we can tell Jason starts off in Greece and ends up back in the states, specifically L.A., NY, Washington D.C. and Las Vegas. Other shooting locations listed on IMDB.com include Germany, London and Spain.
This action-packed two minute trailer leaves us with many questions. Why is Jason back? Where was he for so long? Why is he going after the CIA again?
We’ll just have to wait until July to have those questions answered.
In the meantime you can check out the trailer and watch it repeatedly (no judgement here) below:
