For Cali native, C-Sharp, all roads have been leading up to this, and it’s been a hell of a wild ride. Roll down the windows (or roll ‘em up if you’re rolling up) and turn up the volume, and welcome to Driving Habits.
First he was setting the Internet ablaze with his leak “Hotbox,” a club ready, radio ready banger that celebrates the joys of smoking weed in the whip. (Hey, it’s legal in Cali, ain’t no crimes here.) Then he set it off with “Welcome 2 the Juice” featuring Kevin Parx, Matt Allenn, and his label mate, Kaliber, He didn’t stop there though; he California rolled on, and dropped some turn-up tunes with the audio for the well-received “Flex On ‘Em,” a record about flexin’ towards bigger and better things in life that boasts that hyphy West coast sound as a teaser from his then upcoming mixtape, Driving Habits.
The wait is now over, and he’s back with the Adrian Swish hosted mixtape–and aptly named–Driving Habits. The project features appearances by longtime C-Sharp collaborators Matt Allenn, Kevin Parx, and Compton Buck, as well as C-Sharp’s Best Kept Entertainment label mates Kaliber and Chubbs Sinatra. Production was handled by Double A. Driving Habits is a cohesive body of work from the up and coming Cali grown emcee, and is worth a spin (or ten), whether you’re joyriding through the streets of Cali or hopping the trains of New York.
