When you think of Stüssy, we think 3m t-shirts, dope hoodies and sweats, epic jackets, you pretty much get it. This time the California based clothing line takes it’s threads up a notch while revisiting it’s Jamaican influences.
This season with Stüssy , photographer Tyrone Lebon took us back to the island of Jamaica to give us something raw. The Spring 2016 Lookbook not only highlighted various people of different generations amongst the Reggae and Dancehall culture, but they also captured new pieces that we probably all didn’t see coming. The new collection ties in it’s original surfer theme with the people off the active streets of Jamaica and it’s honestly a different type of refreshing. There’s no stick models, no commercial smiles, none of that, just simple beauty of the people. The collection that’s expected to drop on February 19th will include not only unpredictable pieces like oversized suits but there will also be some epic flare pants in the mix as well. Just when you thought the line was playing it safe, they do something not many of us were expecting. Peep the full lookbook (styled by Tom Guinness) below and stay tune for the worldwide release on today at the online store or at your nearest Stüssy locations.
