Without question, Kendrick Lamar is a spirit animal and we’re here to worship him. For whatever reason, the Grammy’s deemed him the chosen one. It’s well deserved too because he is awesome. His music is prolific and this hip-hop super hero is saving music; one song, one album at a time. Cultural programming is this disgusting enigma that young people are battling every day. It’s an epidemic and disease that rich people don’t catch. It only resides in crack infested ghettos and effects young, poor, impressionable minds. Kendrick Lamar saved hip-hop, with an “S” on his chest, for strategic commercialism. He’s been cosigned by President Obama, Louis Farrakhan, and now the Grammy s. We’ve all witnessed Lamar’s power. His positioning has reached new levels and heights this year. He was nominated for 11 Grammy awards; that’s ground breaking. He also won five gram mys.
Speaking of which, French Montana sat down with “The Breakfast Club” to discuss the growing power of Kendrick Lamar’s mainstream influence in America. In case you didn’t know- French Montana is a lyricist in his own right, but, he is the polar opposite of Kendrick Lamar. French Montana’s niche is street rap and it’s all good. There is room for everybody. It’s all art, at the end of the day. Interpret it as you please. Pay attention. This interview touches on this new shift in music. Before, it was all about street music, but now the industry is migrating away from that era. It was interesting seeing his perspective on the matter. Hip-hop is constantly evolving; just like Darwin’s theory of evolution. Humans were once thought to originate from the apes, just as hip-hop was once originated from the Disco era. We know, we know, our minds are contorting at the thought too. Check out the discussion below.
