The Coke Boys general has been pretty quiet since he dropped the Coke Zoo mixtape with Fetty Wap last October. But French Montana delivered, as promised to his fans by releasing the Wave Gods mixtape on DJ Khaled‘s We The Best Radio. Hosted by the “Wave God“ himself, Max B, the mixtape doesn’t include tracks from him but he makes a phone call from jail as he did on Kanye’s The Life of Pablo album.
The duo delivered a 12-track project that comes with a star studded lineup featuring Future, Travis Scott, Big Sean, Nas, the late Chinx and many more. The project, which the Bronx rapper calls his “best work,” has high anticipation from some of the industries best including the Snapchat God himself, DJ Khaled, whom dubbed the project a major key!
The mixtape comes in the wake of Kanye West catching heat from Wiz Khalifa for originally naming his album Waves without paying homage to Max B. Wiz Khalifa, who is a big Max B fan, took offense to the name of the album and called Kanye out on Twitter, igniting a whole firestorm of events.
In a promo clip for Khaled’s We The Best Radio show last night, French speaks on some “movies and music” he has in the works with A$AP Rocky. He doesn’t go into detail but we should definitely have something big from the two rappers in the near future. And hopefully his sophomore album, Mac & Cheese: The Album, will be out soon!
