Obie Iyoha, who is better known as one-third of Michigan’s The Black Opera, is gearing up for the release of his solo debut, Midnight Run, which is slated to be released January 22nd. With a sample of what we can expect, Obie, who is the son of Nigerian immigrants, liberates the introspective new single, “Lost In America”.
“‘Lost in America’ is a tale about the actions and consequences of peer pressure due to a lack of guidance. A looking-glass to going astray on the not so sunny side of America, as an African boy”, Obie explains.
Try to listen to “Lost In America” without adding it to your current rotation. I dare you.
