Influenced by the on-going gun violence issues in Chicago, Mick Jenkins uses his latest video, “Dehydration,” to depict the effects on his hometown. The Nathan R. Smith directed visuals show Mick torn between retaliating over the death of a friend and not adding to the cycle of violence. “Dehydration,” which is featured on Mick’s sophomore mixtape, The Waters, ends with a haunting quote from two men speaking on the gun violence in their community, “Bullets don’t have any name.”
