Brownsville’s Ka, the ninja-like, whisper-assassin MC who gained his most exposure to date with last year’s great The Night Gambit has just added to the already impressive roster of Adult Swim’s 2014 singles, which have also featured Run The Jewels and Captain Murphy. “Lost Prophet Report” transplants Ka’s always splintered, gruff poetry and chillingly calm voice to a slightly more EDM-inspired, pulsating beat. “All watch ‘til the floor drops in the gallows / Deep feats too unique for the shadows,” he raps, with enough implied knowledge of the dark to stop you cold in your tracks.
