Rising Chicago weirdos Alex Wiley (of the stellar Club Wiley) and Mick Jenkins got together in the booth late last night. Wiley brings his signature slurred growl, and, also per usual, does a little innovation with his flow: “I’m rolling up–greens ’til the pendulum–swings / To the center of–frame / Hope you get it in focus.” It might be Jenkins who gets the upper hand though, taking that stop-and-start tip to the extreme, opening up with a killer four bars: “Man I been tryna keep it–potent / The teem divided but we forever be ridin’ for the people pay attention to the–quotient / It’s such a mixture of talent and knowledge and people and purpose and polish all in the–potion / My people blind and they thirsty they hungry they hurtin’ they searchin’ for water I brought an–ocean.” So, anyone for a joint EP? LP? Enjoy “Forever” below.
