We didn’t get a chance to formally review Rapsody‘s summer mixtape She Got Game, but trust us when we say it’s a solid tape. Bringing the same formula of nonchalance, earnestness and wit that characterized that mixtape, on “Mass Hysteria” she warns of mass panic in response to her ability.
Notice that we didn’t say “lyrical ability.” Rapsody is more than just a lyricist; she pays a lot of attention to mood of a track, attentively dialing back or amplifying her delivery in response to the nuances of the instrumental. That’s a skill that a lot of rappers lack. Listen below.
