Fresh off his release of LOLO with Ceej of Retro Sushi and a collaboration with the buzzing Trinidad James, Atlanta native Rome Fortune brings us some new heat of his own. Beautiful Pimp is a robust work that boasts spacey production from Childish Major, DunDeal, DJ Spinz, C4, and more. It’s an unusual approach to the now familiar pimp narrative, lacing cosmic instrumentals (“Money Ministries,” “Get the Guap,” “Ice Cream Man”) and even a Gotye sample (“Art of Art”) with a charisma reminiscent of the late Chad Butler. Features include Villa, Wara from NBHD, Candice Mims, and Money Makin Nique. Preview below or stream and download here. While it isn’t the sound we’ve grown accustomed to hearing explode out of the ATL, it’s still sure to rattle subs.

DunDeal’s style is very unique. DunDeal and Rome have been frequent collaborators for a while. He even produced a notable track entitled “Get The Guap” on Rome’s last project Beautiful Pimp. […]
