New for Summer 2011, Stussy has just released a selection of eyewear as part of it’s “Grease” collection. The retro-inspired style is available in two-tone colorways and a variety of shapes, including the Oyster, Mr. Bacon, and Principal models. The glasses will be available at select Stussy retailers worlwide starting Friday, July 8th.
Sure the glasses are fresh, but are they anything new? After Ray-Ban and wayfarer frames re-entered the mainstream in 2009, it seems like every designer has jumped on the tip. I don’t know about ya’ll, but I’d like to see Stussy take a stab at a producing a more original eyewear collection; I’m sure it’d be dope, and maybe I’d be more willing to shell out $170.
