Maryland hip hop emcee Big Flock releases heavily anticipated 7 track EP titled Last 5Eva. After garnering almost 5 million streams on his The Great Depression EP, this release is right on time. After getting in trouble with the law, he is ready to show the world why his talent cannot be denied. The DMV trap icon flows effortlessly on heavily brass produced songs with melodic whims and the signatures ad-libs, distinguishing a distinct sound throughout the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. With co-signs from major recording artists Rico Nasty, YBN Cordae, and Wale, Last 5Eva comes with heavy anticipation for fans of Flock and new listeners throughout the world. With all the hype and anticipation, he does a great job handling the pressure and success with grace.

His diversity and need for change is what makes him stand out an artist and creative. You will hear an array of ear appealing bars over raw hip hop beats, taking his thriving sound to new heights. In a studio session, Flock exclaimed “being away for so long, tough times many things about life and how I can use my talent to impact people. If my presence and music relaxes people by making their lives better than it’s all the motivation I need in the world.” Aside from music, Flock and his team are coming up with ideas to give back to schools in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area in efforts to makes his community a better and safer place.

With all of the motivation, good morals, and reason to celebrate in the world, Big Flock will have a major 2020. Join him in his return to music by streaming his latest Last project Last 5Eva below.

California rapper Phora follows up last year’s Warner drop Love Is Hell with the independent release Bury Me With Dead Roses, which sees 16 new solo cuts — including “The Dream,” which also boasts a matching visual. Check it all out below, along with a quick break down of what listeners can expect when they press play, directly from the source:

“We all love too hard and hurt. We all have demons. We all want to feel SOMETHING. We are all lost. But NEVER let your past hurt your future. Struggle inspires growth and change come when we least expect it.”

If you haven’t heard of Pop Smoke, you better catch the wave now. The Brooklyn rapper is doing something I’m absolutely in awe of as someone from both sides of the Atlantic: he’s merged his own hard-nosed New York sound with UK Drill and other elements to create something all its own…and it’s infectious as hell. Following the smash hit “Welcome To The Party” (video added below) comes the new project Meet The Woo, which sees nine new tracks (courtesy of production from Rico Beats and 808MeloBeats) to turn up to before the Summer’s out.

YBN Cordae has certainly been drumming up interest for his forthcoming debut The Lost Boy, and he continues to do that with what might be his biggest single to date.

This week, the D.C. area emcee delivers a new cut titled “Bad Idea,” which features assistance from current superstar Chance The Rapper. The song also comes with a visual to match, which sees the collaborators jumping from blue collar blues to enjoying a cookout with loves ones. Equally-talented artists SiR and Ant Clemons also appear on the track uncredited.

Check out “Bad Idea” — both the video and the initial premiere via Apple Music’s Beats 1 — below.

YBN Cordae is way too talented. For his latest, the versatile emcee drops off a new video for “Target,” essentially a Slick Rick-esque story of a run-in with the police (with a West Coast twist, at least that’s what I’m getting). Vibe to that above; the clip can be found on YBN’s latest compilation project.
