Coming out of Toronto, there are many names rising at the moment. Lais is one of the names that has your favourite rapper’s ear right now. After liberating “Rather Have U”, Lais returns with a brand new smooth number called “Sometimes”. The single caries his signature flow and wavey lyrics over a downtempo beat, provided by @beforeizaiah. This will appear as a bonus cut on Lais’ forthcoming EP, 114 set to drop on October 29th. Everyone’s favorite Boston weirdo throws his hat into the Boondocks tape ring with “Sometimes.” The synthy, bubbling, early-Odd Future-esque production is a good compliment to Christmas‘ half-joking, half serious style here. He reflects on detention, an impending jail sentence that was cancelled because, “I was way too lazy to commit crimes,” and grinding in the face of the problems of his life stacking “like music to a medley.” Michael just keeps getting stronger, it’s only a matter of time until he gets strong enough to blow. Tick, tick, tick.
