Rising rap star Quarterbird , unveils a heartfelt true story about losing a dear friend, in his new record “Another Angel.” The underground artist seamlessly crafts together the story about his friend Christina who died in his arms from a drug overdose after trying to rehab from using heroine. The rapper and singer belts out heart-wrenching lyrics like “I feel like I’m losing this fight…and the last thing I need is another angel on my shoulder. Look to the sky for new heights, Cover my eyes from the shade of the lights, way too bright, please just tell me when it’s over” and even admits to considering suicide as a way to deal with the pain.

The Los Angeles native continues to release both heartfelt narratives and gritty street bangers that are based on real life events, and isn’t afraid to speak the truth about the life of hustling.

Quarter Bird is currently focused on sharing his story through poetry and music, unveiling the struggles of his life’s journey as pain, loneliness and success continue to create emotions that he’s committed to release.

Amber Rose continues to thrive as a successful entrepreneur and well-respected businesswoman with the official launch of her innovative new 3D character created by Zoobe, a leading character voice-messaging app. The pop culture maven celebrated her takeover of the tech market with a red carpet Unveiling event at SXSW in Austin, Texas. Special guests in attendance included Spectacular Smith (Pretty Ricky), actress Tashiana Washington, rapper Quarter Bird and more.

Industry tastemakers, media elite and SXSW enthusiasts were the first to experience Amber Rose’s latest coup: her own 3D character, which creates a whole new social and interactive experience through real-time community engagement. While enjoying drinks and Gourdough’s donuts, the event’s guests were also entertained by an exclusive set by DJ Duffey.

“If you’re a Rosebud, and you’re a fan of mine, then [my new character] is really cool because you’re able to say whatever you want and it comes out of my mouth,” Rose said. “It looks so realistic. I’m just excited to see what my fans are going to say and the cool videos they’re going to put out.”

Norbert Richard Meinike, Chief Marketing Officer at Zoobe, joined Amber to introduce her 3D character that users can customize with their own voice to create a personalized “MUVA” alter ego and use in their social media and daily messaging communication. Amber’s “red carpet” character unveiled at the exclusive event is just the beginning, with new animations set in different themes coming soon.

The red carpet, all-white daytime soiree, hosted by Miss Diddy (CEO of the Brand Group LA), celebrated the ribbon-cutting of Chef Bernard James‘ new restaurant location in Hollywood.

Known for its authentic Caribbean dishes, TOTCLA has quickly become one of L.A.’s hot spots for “gourmet on the go.”

Rapper Trinidad James along with Crenshaw Peace Activist Big U gave back to the community in Los Angeles over the weekend with their own sneaker drive and celebrity basketball game. Garnering  sneaker donations, the event gained a lot of support from over 100 local families and celebrities alike who came out to watch the Camp James (Founded by Trinidad James) basketball game. Supplying the sounds for the event, DJ Looney and Power 106 DJ’s were on the wheels of steel. Making sure everyone joined in on the fun, the Camp James Founder ran raffles (Can we say free Jordans along with other prizes?) and handed out gift bags. Celebrities in attendance to the star-studdded event included Nipsey Hussle, Problem, Hit Boy, Rosa Acosta, Michael Blackson, Kevin McCall, Compton AV, Stevie Williams, Lil Rome Diddy, Moniece Slaughter, Quarter Bird, King Keraun, Jay 305, Lisa B, Eastwood, Cameo, Reazon, Overdose, and Raquel Harper.
