Life is strange, and that might be an understatement. One moment, you’re doing one thing — such as slowly becoming one of the best high school basketball players in your city — and then the next moment you’re doing something else — like approaching 8K views on your debut single. Switching gears from athlete to entertainer, Las Vegas Jone checks in for the first time with his brand new single, “Overtime.”

Enlisting buddies TarXan and Paris, “Overtime” is a hard hitting, bass-heavy track that sees Jone and Paris trading off elite bars over infectious production from TarXan. Carrying a cadence that sounds much more seasoned than somebody putting their first track out, Jone shows flashes of potential to be a solid lyricist with just enough touch of flair.

With a solid beginning to what we predict to be a solid career, expect Jone to be on your radars sooner than later. Check out, “Overtime” below.

Jay Z and Beyoncé recently went across The Pond for a vacation getaway. The power couple stopped by art galleries and decided to take a picture in front of a painting. The picture is reminiscent of their highly talked about picture in front of The Mona Lisa (as you can see below) only this time the two are wearing matching outfits and Beyoncé got a new hairdo.

In the midst of this new trend of posting pictures of yourself in front of beautiful paintings, it’s important to remember who really started it all: P. Diddy

Earlier this week, a video was released that featured Jay sonning a photographer in Paris in the most gangsta way possible. The video was filmed of Jay and his family walking around Paris and enjoying their much needed family vacation. While on vacation the Carter family decided to stop by the Louvre for a private tour and of course, took some photos with the Mona Lisa. Check out the photos of Jay, Beyonce & Blue Ivy while at the Louvre. Oh and of course, don’t forget to watch the video of Jay letting that photographer know, he ain’t sh**.

While vinyl has enjoyed a mild resurgence, cassette tapes haven’t had the same luck. Until now. Kind of. French artist Benoit Jammes has reappropriated cassette tapes, using them to make humorous and clever sculptures. In the same way that hip-hop’s founders used their parents’ record collections to create a novel form of music, Jammes uses old cassette tapes to author an original kind of art. Jammes‘ innovation will probably not become a global force like hip-hop has, but it’s fresh and stylish nonetheless. Bom.K X Pakone X Wen2.

This week, we didn’t spot two murals that looked the same on the international street-art-sphere. The piece above is produced by Bom.K X Pakone and Wen2. Bom.K is back in Brest, France following his solo exhibition in Paris.

2501 painted this mural in Los Angeles, USA. The Italian artist used his signature monochromatic lines combined with gold to create an abstract illusion of depth. This piece is on Imperial Street in Downtown LA.

Pez and his charming smiles arrived in Koln, Germany.

Vinz

VinZ recently completed this wall called “Allegoria della Primavera Valenciana” last week during “Poliniza” Urban Art Festival at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

Seth

Seth  recently completed this mural in Paris, France.

Hyuro

Hyuro  and her taste for multiplicity has dropped in Copenhagen, Denmark. In her poetic piece, Hyuro tells the story of a deer moving from light into obscurity and emerging, a changed deer on the other side of the light.

Phlegm

Phlegm, who is pretty much featured every week in our “Best of the week”, produced another memorable piece in London, UK.

Steve and Dorota Coy from Hygienic Dress League recently completed the mural above on the streets of Cleveland, Ohio.

Fintan Magee

Fintan Magee is back in Newtown where he just completed this new piece. The artist has a talent for depicting youthful Oras. He yet again successfully transports his viewer into a compelling childish universe.
