Whoopi Goldberg will return to ABC’s The View, according to Variety.

Goldberg, who serves as the shows moderator will be part of The View’s twenty-first season and her tenth season.

Goldberg’s return is significant as she is a huge draw to the show. She replaced long-time View creator, Barbara Walters who announced her retirement from the show in 2014.

‘The View’ gained a spike in ratings over the past year with the show’s discussion about race, the 2016 Presidential election between Hillary Rodham Clinton and Donald Trump. The show’s daily dialogue also focuses deeply on current U.S. President Donald Trump and his administration.

So much can  be said about our 44th president but for the most part President Barack Obama did put forward a massive change on the United States and into The White House; I’m sure his legacy will not be forgotten anytime soon.

President Obama went from Chicago to The White House and as our president throughout the years, Obama accomplished so much and was everything America needed after George Bush.  Obama made it a point to connect with this generation; he would even make guest appearances on popular TV shows and sometimes you could even catch the president enjoying a basketball game courtside; he showed a lot of humility.

When it’s all said and done, President Barack Obama will be missed and highly remembered. So with his final day in the white house, I thought I would put together some of President Barack Obama’s best moments together.

As if it isn’t hard enough that President Barack Obama will be leaving the White House in less than two weeks, he just made things a bit more real. Obama released a heartfelt letter to the American people and he spoke about his eight years as president and the better days that are to come. He also spoke about the Affordable Care Act, improvements in the high school graduation rates, LGBT rights and more. Read a snippet below:

“Today, thanks to the Affordable Care Act, another 20 million American adults know the financial security and peace of mind that comes with health insurance,” Obama wrote. “Another three million children have gained health insurance. For the first time ever, more than ninety percent of Americans are insured — the highest rate ever.”

President Obama is likely to go down in history for many reasons other than being the first Black president. His charisma, rhetoric and love for the kids are qualities that we have grown accustomed to and will surely be missed come next January. It seems as though we know so much about him but there’s so much to learn about young POTUS. We all know that he received his B.A. from Columbia University and J.D. from Harvard but the lifestyle that he lived at the time is still something of mystery to the general public. According to Complex, there is a new biopic about Barak’s college days in New York City.

It has been confirmed that there will be a biopic about the young Obama navigating his way through college in The Big Apple and it ought to be pretty interesting to say the least. Through his 1995 memoir “Dreams of My Father,” we learned that he often smoked marijuana and even experimented with booger sugar, also known as cocaine. The new film has been titled “Barry” and the actor set to portray the leader of the free world is Devon Terrell, which we have learned from BET. He is not a household name, but after filming starts in April, this will undoubtedly change.

Though President Obama is widely known as the first black president, it is not the first time that he has received the title. During his days at Harvard he was elected as the first Black president of Harvard Law Review. Many details of his past will be revealed in the biopic which should be a fascinating story of our current POTUS.

The Obamas have done it again. The first family of the Unites States of America has time and again challenged the formality that is associated with their position. President Obama and FLOTUS have always tried to be more accessible to people, and speaking ‘with’ them than ‘to’ them. This time it was First Lady Obama who shocked the world with her musical skills.

First Lady, Michelle Obama joined Jay Pharoah of Saturday Night Live to record a music video encouraging college enrollment. It’s quite astonishing to know that Hip-Hop music has reached The White House, especially after President Obama admitted that his favorite rap song was Kendrick Lamar’s track “How Much Does a Dollar Cost”. The US has been seeing a steady decline in college enrolment over the past two decades. A major factor for this is said to be the exorbitant tuition fee. The problem plaguing the American higher education system isn’t new. In fact, President Obama himself took 25 years to clear his student loan debt. Chicago Sun Times reported that Obama took out $42,753 in loans to pay for his Harvard Law School tuition. The US President has been quoted as saying, “I was in my 40s when we finished paying off our debt. And — and we should have been saving for Malia and Sasha by that time… ”

The idea of a rap video was genius to capture the world and spread the message of education. Rap music in the beginning was the songs of the oppressed and brutalized youth. Their message was loud and honest, for example NWA’s “F**k the Police” resulted in backlash from the mainstream media and citizens who did not understand their struggle. Rap music was demonized and misunderstood. As 2015 come to a close, we can see now that Hip Hop has shaped our culture tremendously. Some may argue but rap music has revolutionized popular culture. Look at the fact that a once underground dance “Dabbin” has finally reached the mainstream audience and that just to name a few cases.

“I want to honor and empower young people who are working hard in school and pursuing their dreams – and I want to do it in a fresh and fun way,” Michelle Obama said in a statement.

She has rapped with so much swag that Sam Reich, College Humor’s head of video, said, “I think the country will join me in saying, ‘Mrs. Obama, we think you should cut an album,’. All jokes aside, how do you guys feel about our First Lady dropping a rap album?
