Within the past couple of years, expecting to hear a new Jay Electronica track has become similar to expecting to see a UFO, in the middle of the day and capturing it on camera. Despite Hip-Hop’s need for a Jay Electronica album, the rarity of his music has made every new verse dropped by the New Orleans rapper an event. While performing at the Bardot in Miami, FL, Jay blessed the crowd with the performance of an unreleased track. No details of the songs title, origin, or producer as of yet. But hey, it wasn’t mysterious it would not be Jay Electronica.

New Music: A$AP Ferg – “Perfume”

A$AP Ferg has dropped a cut from his Gangsta Grillz mixtape Ferg Forever. Titled “Perfume,” the Philo$ Cult produced-track gives us a trippy vibe with its synths but nonetheless fits with the Trap Lord’s flow.

His bars on this one are not overbearing, but subtle enough to show why you should listen. Kind of like what a perfume is supposed to do. Peep the track below and lets us know what you think.

The Midwest meets Compton as Freddie Gibbs and Problem link up on this banger from Freddie’s upcoming ESGN, out July 9th. “One Eighty Seven” gives us a taste of what’s to come, and, as could be expected, it’s hard. Video: Kanye Debuts New Song, “New Slaves” on Sides of Buildings

Kanye certainly knows how to create a spectacle! He debuted his new song and its accompanying video on Friday night by projecting it on the sides of buildings at 66 locations worldwide. The new song is called “New Slave”, from his highly anticipated album rumored to hit the stores on June 18th. In his new song, West talks about his dislike of the media, his critics and 21st century racism. With bars such as ““I move my family out the country /So you can’t see where I stay/So go and grab the reporters/So I can smash their recorders,” the rapper’s message is pretty clear.

Hours before Kanye invaded the streets, he launched the locations on his official website, leading his fans across New York, Chicago, London and Paris toward the right buildings. His project(ions) will continue throughout the weekend and the man himself will appear on “Saturday Night Live” tonight!
