I know you all remember Nate Dogg singing “in different area codes” with Ludacris back in the 2000’s. With him collaborating with Warren G’s “Regulate,” Nate made a name for himself and later was recognized as a powerful collab pioneer in our younger years. The late great Nate is a soul collaborator way back when, who was featured on, Fabolous “Can’t Deny It,” 50 Cent’s “21 Questions,” and many more. Dogg has the soulfulness but uptempo tone that you couldn’t help to hear in many songs. He is one of the goats in our prime that we should highlight in this generation of music.

Nate’s voice by himself on a record is something that many people won’t look forward to, but put him on the record with the hottest artists out now; and I bet you that his voice will be the element to the song. This is the same with Ty. Even though people confuse him with a rapper, as his name stands out as a rapper, he changed that by giving us a unique soulness of a voice. It’s ironic that the two are from California so they give you that California vibe. Both are implementing their voices to have the record to be hot and top the charts as they should. Believe it or not Ty Dolla $ign is the new era of Nate Dogg.

Who would have ever known that “Toot it and Boot It,” ten years later, will be still spinning and remembered as Ty’s first placement to get to where he is now. $ign is a king collaborator of many projects from the first half of the year and many more. For example, Kanye West’s ‘Ye’, Teyana Taylor’s ‘K.T.S.E.’, Kid Cudi’s ‘Kids See Ghosts’ and many more. With his talent and stamina, he will soon to be a legend! In a few years from now, I can see that he will be headlining his own tour and bring out big name artists that he worked with and which fans will vibe to it. If you haven’t been to his Don’t Judge Me Tour, then you missed out! If you don’t think that these two legendary artists are identical after me explaining then peep the two videos of the California singers below.

Since the release of Straight Outta Compton, a couple of years ago, hip hop biopic films have been a thing!

Since then, there were talks of a Dogg Pound 4 Life film, which was set to tell the story of DPG’s Kurupt and Daz and their relationship with 2Pac, Snoop Dogg, Suge Knight and others.

The film already started casting but at press time hit a snag on production. One person who got the green light for the film was comedian, Jack Thriller from MTV’s hit show, Wild ‘N Out.

During an interview with Mikey T The Movie Star, comedian Jack Thriller expressed his interest in portraying the late Nate Dogg in the film.

The Muppets recent covers of hip-hop tracks is exactly what we all need. And now, they are back at it again! This cover features Ernie and Bert covering Warren G‘s “Regulate,” featuring Nate Dogg.

In this visual, you’ll catch Bert covering Warren G while Ernie takes on Nate Dogg’s parts. Ernie and Bert are mugged, find themselves some hunnies and in the end, make it out safely from the dangers of the hood. The video is quite hilarious and probably the best one so far. And at the end they pay homage to the late Nate Dogg, who passed away in 2011.

The Muppets have previously covered The Beastie Boys‘ “So What’cha Want” and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony‘s “Tha Crossroads.” You can check out all of the The Muppets covers here whenever you are bored or need a good laugh. And definitely check out the cover of “Regulate” below and tell us what you think. Do Ernie and Bert live up to the track’s glory?

If The Muppets covering Warren G’s “Regulate,” doesn’t make your f**king day then you are clearly an unhappy person!

Warren G released new video, “My House” earlier this week. The track features previously unreleased vocals from the late, great Nate Dogg and is the first official cut from his Regulate…G Funk Era Part II EP. The iconic west coast emcee lays down the rules of his house as he claims ownership of everything in his city. With Warren G’s release dropping the same week as Straight Outta Compton, G-Funk is straight dominating the scene right now. Regulate…G Funk Era Part II features guest appearances from E-40, Too $hort, Jeezy as well as Bun B.

Canada-based blog Montreality just released a lengthy Schoolboy Q video interview. Schoolboy talks about a variety of subjects, such as still wanting to be a pimp, watching cartoons (Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles), playing Call of Duty, lacking beef with Childish Gambino and being a “bad ass kid that did the work” in high school. Despite the seemingly random questions, it cohesively aligns with the image of Schoolboy that his fans adore. Q always kills interviews, whether it be something as straight forward as this or his Back and Forth series with A$AP Rocky on Noisey.

It’s definitely worth a watch, especially Schoolboy’s touching remarks on West Coast hip-hop pioneer Nate Dogg. His most relevant comment to contemporary hip-hop is when he remembers Dogg’s ability to “bring life to a song” without ever dropping a real record. Towards the end of the interview, Q not only provides his definition of a G but also sends a message out to all the youths out there. Check out the entire interview below:
